I like that only 2 AA batteries are needed if you're in a blackout or power outage, and since the power cord is an USB cable, I can keep it plugged in in my car. The AM/FM reception was amazing in my concrete, fire-proof home. I've played several cassettes on both sides, and they all sound as if brand new. Haven't used the headphones or mic yet, but my purpose of this was mainly to listen to my self-recorded music cassettes, and the AM/FM radio in case of an emergency. The provided mic is mid at best--I used a male male aux cord to record things off my laptop; again, audio quality is just fine, but that's all I needed it to be.
