I chose the follow the pdf instead of the video. It was very easy to follow. Also, it tells you to check each individual component to make sure it is functioning prior to starting to install it. The company admits that the components are custom made and somewhat fragile. They state in the instructions that if a component does not work to contact them. I wanted to explain this because of the negative reviews saying they installed it and parts didn’t light up. Installation was time consuming and required much patience, but well worth it and completely doable. This is my first big Lego build and my first time installing a light kit. My husband would also point out that I know NOTHING about computers/electronics/circuits, but it did not impact my ability to complete this project. I was proud of myself for completing it 100% without additional help. The end result is GORGEOUS! It really brings the picture to life. I also love being able to use the remote control to change the brightness.

Installation was a bit tedious but outcome looks great. Adhesive could be stronger. Remote control has 3 settings for brightness: low, medium, and high. The video instructions was easier to follow than the PDF instructions.

Great fun, high quality, looks exactly as advertised.

The lights are hard to install and made extremely cheaply. The adhesive pads do not stick to the set. Take an incredible amount of time and touch to install them and not break the cheap electronics. And after all the effort it didn’t even turn on. Don’t waste your time or money on this one.

Lights on legos are a must, they look very cool with lights. Lights have different settings, and it came with a link to how to install them step by step

Took about 1 1/2 hour to install and turned on and the lights did not work. I tried with batteries and power and still did not work. No way to contact seller other than to leave a 1 star review. Updated 12-22-24. Was able to contact seller. They sent me out a new light kit after I determined which lights did not work. I have not switched out the lights yet but will within the next day or two. I am hoping they work. I will update review after install. So 4 stars for now.

Assembled The Starry Night first and skipped over building the frame until last. For the BrickBling Light Kit I chose to use the installation video rather than the PDF and followed step by step, paused for each component, and made sure all the gold wires in connectors matched up. The instructions are very thorough and well done! It was not difficult to remove pieces or lift areas to thread wires to the back. Installed correctly the wires do not show when completed. The "sticky" foam squares do not work well at all...I just didn't use them in some areas and wires are not going to move since threaded through bricks or to the back. A change I made was to thread the power USB wire through the back when I put the frame on so it wouldn't show over the frame in the front. I absolutely love the lights and ability to change settings with the remote! Overall, I highly recommend this light kit to enhance The Starry Night!

I wanted to give this a far better review as I felt the instructions were really easy to follow (at least from the video) and it was not overly challenging. I do echo that some of the adhesive did not stick as well. But they give you extra so no biggie. The hang up for me is that once I got it all put together and plugged in, the light in the upper right did not work. And so I’m disappointed. And you can’t know it won’t work until the end. So now I’m in a position where it feels underwhelming and I’m waiting for a replacement from Amazon. Who knows if it will work. I had considered getting the light kit for Notre Dame but I don’t want to spend the money and be disappointed. This company needs to either offer a better way to get replacement pieces or provide extra in the kits.
