Fingerprint Smart Lock for Existing Deadbolt with Keypad and Hub Mini – Keyless Entry, Password & NFC Card, Auto-Lock, App Control, Alexa Siri Google Compatible

The idea of this product is great, unfortunately it does not work as stated. It does most of what it says it will do however, when locking the door using the keypad or app, I am unable to open my door using my regular key! Whenever I lock the door using any option that isn't my key, the lock will jam and my key will not turn in the keyhole. The lock also jammed while using the keypad and since my regular key would no longer work I was locked out of my house for a few minutes until the lock un-jammed itself. No matter what method I use to lock my door, I should still be able to use my physical key to unlock it if necessary! The NFC part of the keypad also isn't very responsive. Setting up the included card for NFC was relatively fast and easy but, the keypad doesn't always read the NFC Card. I've tried tapping the card on the NFC logo on the keypad, I've tried slowly sliding the card up and down the front of the keypad as well, sometimes it will register and unlock the door but it's a hassle to get the keypad to read it. While the included card was relatively easy to register for NFC usage, the 2 included NFC tags for the cellphones were not! I still have yet to get those NFC tags set up. Overall this product definitely could have been better and has loads of potential. Hopefully with new updates issues I've been having (especially not being able to use my physical key to unlock the door) will be fixed. I will stick to using my physical key to both lock and unlock the door for now until that issue has been situated. UPDATE!!! First and foremost the customer service was absolutely excellent! Stella (the customer service representative) did an amazing job assisting me with the switchbot products. She did everything within her power to help me fix the issues I was having with the product and stuck with me every step of the way. I can happily say that the developers have fixed the previous issues I've had with this product, and it is now a perfectly convenient product that I can definitely recommend; in fact I already have!

This is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a secure, reliable and easy to use smart lock. For any renters out there, this is very renter friendly as it does not require you to alter or remove your existing door lock. We all have those moments where we wonder if we locked the door and with the 1 minute auto lock feature, I no longer have to worrry about forgetting to lock the door. Additionally, I have the option of going into the app, and it will tell me weather or not my front door is open and I can close or open it from the app. You have the option of setting up a pin, using the key card, or using the nfc tags which are compatible with both android and IOS . I also love that you can create temporary codes. For visitors. I used a temporary code when the plumber had to fix my kitchen sink while I was at work. My Grandma is visiting and I was able to create a pin for her that she’ll remember because she had a hard time remembering the pin I use. I love the sturdy design an the fact that it has an anti-theft system and a tamper-proof design. Setting up and using the lock is also incredibly simple and straightforward. I highly recommend getting this lock. It is a great investment.

It was easy to install. Then it got jammed literally on the first day. After two weeks of it asking for recalibration every other day, it ended up just falling off the door. You’ll have to carry the key with you all the time, just in case.

Great solution for standard door locks. We didn’t want to change our hardware, so this is a great solution..they could work on the size of the actual unit but overall is really good. Addition of the hub allows for away from home control which is great and the keypad is also a plus

I am really enjoying it , this is my second lock in my household , it was easy to pair, took me about 10 minutes to have it ready. They thought about every detail, it was on point, there is enough accessories and manuals to guide you step by step, and it’ll definitely fit a different variety of locks . The NFC card is a great thing, i can just scan my card and the door is unlocked, or use my phone, i can also see the daily logs of the door .

I found the lock easy to install and worked well for 18 months when it suddenly started jamming every couple of weeks requiring re-calibration. After submitting tickets and requested videos to support they said it's hardware failure and out of warranty. They suggested I upgrade to their new lock :(
