Zoyi 5566SE Digital Multimeter with Bluetooth Speaker, AC/DC Voltage Tester, Resistance, Capacitance, Temperature, Frequency Measurement, and Voice Broadcast for Home and Industrial Use

This multimeter has a lot of bells and whistles. It can be set on an even surface like the large bulky multimeters of yesteryear but really compact, lightweight, and easily read from a distance, which is a plus when you've got a large machine with multiple electronic sections that you need to test. It also has an audible read-out that also helps me when I have to be in cramped quarters and can't see the read-out. I love that I can use it in conjunction with my tablet, hooking one set of cables to the front of a large machine I am diagnosing and another to the end of the machine and be able to see the read-outs from both ends at the same time (one on the tablet and the other on the multimeter). I can hear them announced out loud as well. AND, when I'm not using the multimeter to diagnose electronic issues, I can tune in to a radio station and listen either out loud or via bluetooth earbuds to some work-enhancing tunes or to a favorite talk radio station. It even has a clock to keep me on time and in budget. What more could I want?

With the press of the button on the ground probe it anounces the value's in a clear easy to understand woman's synthesized voice. The screen was well lit and it also came with rechargable batteries and was fully charged. I was surprised at the audio quality of the Bluetooth speakers and at the ease of operations to select between modes. This is a great desktop digital meter. I am happy with it and the manufacturer demos it online in TikTok which is where i learned about it. I needed to use another android phone to test the app but i can say so far it works very well as a dmm.

This digital desktop multimeter is pretty cool and has a lot of functions. I like that it has a built-in battery so I can move it around easily without worrying about a cord. The Bluetooth speaker feature is pretty nice, the volume gets plenty loud and is decent quality, obviously not amazing, but perfect for listening while working in a garage though. It took me a minute to figure out how to connect the speaker, as it isn’t mentioned in the manual. If you connect to Bluetooth through the app then you are just connecting to read measurements to the app. You have to go to your Bluetooth settings and find “DMM music” as an additional connection that will then let you play music.The app is neat, although the UI isn’t super great, and I don’t find it incredibly useful. You can view measurements on your phone, and they are almost perfectly in sync with the screen on the DMM. You can also see a plot of the measurements over time and save the plot to the app. There is the ability to change the mode of the DMM, however the options are very limited and for some reason you cannot change to measuring voltage which would seem to be a basic feature. It seems like you can connect up to four of these devices to the app at once. While I don’t think you can view all 4 measurements simultaneously, there is a feature where you can perform a custom calculation using the values from each device, which could be useful.Finally as far as accuracy goes I found the basic features to be very close to my handheld multimeter, but with even more decimal places. The capacitance testing feature seemed to measure close to the labeled values for larger capacitors (happened to all be electrolytic), but kept jumping around and did not seem accurate for lower capacitances (happened to all be ceramic). Overall very useful and portable desktop digital multimeter, that is accurate for basic functions, however is not great for capacitance measurements and needs app improvements.

This multimeter is very accurate, but its really not a bench multimeter nor is it a portable DMM. You'd be better off purchasing a handheld DMM. And if you need a bluetooth speaker this is just "OK", there are much better stand alone speakers.PROS:- Extremely accurate, reads almost identical to my AN-8009 and XDM-1041.- Fast at checking capacitors and resistances.- Diode check does a great job at illuminating LED's and displaying voltage drop (many DMM's barely illuminate LED's).- Big digits on display are easy to read (but see CON about viewing angle) as long as signal is steady (see CON about blurring).- Huge rechargeable batteries will last a loooooonnnnnnggggg time. They give you a charging cable to connect to USB-A power source, but you'll need to supply the 2-Amp power source to charge the batteries. On the bench you can leave it plugged in constantly and it will only charge when needed.CONS:- Sensitive to viewing angle. Looks good from straight-on or above (like sitting on a table), but from underneath the display looses contrast making it hard to read the symbols (mF, nF, uF look alike). So can't put it on a shelf above your workbench unless you prop up the back to tilt it downward, and then the feet won't be stable and it will probably fall off the shelf.- Display has slow response so least significant digits blur when signal is unsteady and you won't know what its really at. This makes it useless for monitoring voltages that you are adjusting with a trimpot. It really needs an averaging function or a SLOW scan rate setting.- Goes into standby every 15 minutes which DOES NOT reduce power consumption and since the huge rechargeable batteries would last all day it makes no sense. You can hold down REL while turning on and it won't go into standby but it still beeps every 15 minutes, apparently to remind you that its still on. However this is extremely annoying and one of the main reasons I'm sending it back.- The manual is poor at explaining things. For example the REL button disables standby mode but the manual's description is hard to decipher (you hold REL button while turning on and wait til it beeps 5 times).- I thought the duty cycle feature wasn't there even though the manual says it has this feature. However I discovered by accident that duty cycle only works in mVAC (not VAC) so it is pretty useless.

I use this bench tester each week and it is very convenient and accurate. In addition, Zotek has the best customer service I've seen on Amazon. Thank you!
