Evil Dead (Collector's Edition)

The movie was what I ordered meaning it included the unrated version but it didn't come in the pictured packaging and not even a slipcover which for the money (around £30 as it was a US import), was very disappointing. So just 1 disk in a flimsy slim plastic case. Film was great though & very gory with buckets of blood!

Region A release (USA) that works in a uk player as 4K discs are obviously region free unlike most blu ray releases. Beautiful picture & this release includes the extended unrated version as well as the theatrical release. Well worth the money & it arrived within 6 days of ordering. Arrived well before specified time from the USA. In my top five best horror films. Unrelenting… 10/10

Nice n gory how horror films should be

Saw this at the cinema and remember thinking how amazing and brutal it was. When I found out there was a 4k extended cut, it was a no brainer and ordered it. Even seeing it the second time, I was on my edge of my seat and was made better by the extended scenes and the amazing 4k transfer. I am a massive fan of the original films and love Bruce Campbell, but...dare I say this is a better version, more serious and relentless in the horror. Top purchase and very happy.

Pricey but hey what a great remake

This movie is amazing. The story is very simple, and similar to the original, but here it's treated very serious and dark. The camera work, the practical gore effects and the acting really create a macabre and intense ride, that gets from tame to one of the bloodiest movies ever with an increasing tempo. The perfect word to describe this movie is escalating. I luv it. And yes, the included extended cut IS better.

Brilliant film

Non appena ho scoperto l'esistenza di questa edizione steelbook ho deciso che dovevo averla. Non sto a recensire il film in sé che reputo un eccellente horror, specie alla luce di tutti i terribili remake che oramai ci vengono propinati per carenza di idee e trovate nuove: questo film spacca lo schermo come già fece al tempo l'originale. Della cover c'è poco da dire: per un fan dell'horror rappresenta una vera chicca da esposizione. Peccato che al solito in Italia queste edizioni speciali ce le possiamo forse solo sognare, infatti le lingue audio disponibili sono solo l'inglese, il tedesco e il turco. Da collezionista di bluray del genere l'ho acquistata, comunque, senza pensarci 2 volte e subito affiancata alla versione italiana opportunamente scambiando i cd.
