When you want to know if things work before you put your tools away.
The strong laser beam works well and is an efficient and cheap way to test fiber cable.

Fantastic
Been using this at work and it seems to function well. I like how you can turn it so the switch doesn't get turned on when in a pocket or tool bag. Came with a spare ceramic insert that I was able to use to replace the cracked one on my fiber meter. Great product and great price.

Easy to use and very bright
I work for a telecommunications company, so this tool comes in very handy. Easy to use. It has a collar that rotates around the top so that it can protect the power switch from accidentally turning on.. Batteries are easy to change out if they start to corrode. Nice grip. I have used several times, no issues. I have the 30 km (18 mile) version. I recommend this item.

Nice and bright.
Good red light but don't expect to actually reached 30km. Was curious and tried it on that 20Km run and got nothing. Overall good red light if you're doing long runs you should be using an ODTR anyways.
