From the Manufacturer Zenyatta's First Colt was born on March 8, 2012. His mother is Zenyatta, the first filly to win the Breeders' Cup Classic. She won 19 races in her 20 race career and earned the 2010 Eclipse Award for Horse of the Year. During her racing career, she stood 17.2 hands tall (70", or 5' 9.5") at the shoulder and weighed 1,200 pounds. His father is Bernardini, who won the 2006 Preakness Stakes and was the Eclipse Award's Male horse of the year.

He's on the Gilen mold, which is probably the best mold to represent a leggy Thoroughbred colt! He's a gorgeous, adorable model with dark shading and a sweet face. The model also comes with Little Z's pedigree/birth certificate. It's really neat to see all the different horses that contributed to Little Z. As with any Breyer, they are not toys. They will break if played with too hard, and are nearly impossible to fix due to the type of plaztic they're made of. All in all, he's a lovely model and a great addition to anyone's herd or as a gift to Zenyatta/racehorse fans!
Review: cute - I love him so much and zenyatta but when i was removing him from the box I noticed he had a defect one of his nostrils was white and looked like it had been scraped and I received him from breyer's official website so there was no way I could get around it oh well great model anyway

Zenyatta's first colt is the perfect item for Zenyatta fans! He's a sweet dark bay colt with one white sock. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful collection of Breyer horses!

In my opinion, Breyer makes the best horses I've ever seen. You can tell that they take great care and pride in creating these horses and the finished look is quite beautiful and very life-like! I order all my horses from Breyer and have been very happy with each one. My horses are not for play, I have them on display on my fireplace mantle. As a former English rider, these horses bring back a lot of happy memories for me. I do have one request. I would like to see Breyer come out with models of other famous racehorses like Sham (1973 Triple Crown race with Secretariat), Rivaridge, Bold Ruler, and Something Royal. Of course, Secretariat is my favorite and would LOVE to have a second model of him, and a third, and a fourth...etc.
