Fluval Bug Bites is a complete fish food that features a unique insect-based formulation, enriched with multiple quality proteins and carbohydrates that are ideal for bottom feeders. This formula incorporates a healthy mix of animal proteins, vegetables and fiber, which is ideal for all types of plecos and ancistrus. Insects are hunted by fish in the wild as they offer a widely available food source. The instinctive feeding habit is the foundation behind Bug Bites, which are formulated with nutrient-rich insect larvae and enriched with multiple quality proteins, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Most freshwater fish are omnivores and regularly feed on insects in the wild. However, not all insects are created equally when it comes to a fish’s diet. Bug Bites are formulated with sustainably harvested Black Soldier Fly Larvae (#1 ingredient across all formulas), which are raised on fruits and vegetables for exceptional “super food” nutrition. Using a unique cultivation process, BSFL are grown under controlled conditions for total sustainability that preserves natural environments. Review: Great food. Tropical freshwater fish of all kinds LOVE it. - This is the food of choice in all of my tropical freshwater community tanks. I have a wide variety of picky fish. Most pellets and flakes are completely ignored, even by my top and midwater feeders. Those same top and mid water feeders rush to the bottom when these sinking pellets drop. As they pick at them, particles enter the water column and others feed mid water. I never have to worry that someone is going hungry and the pellets are completely consumed in a matter of hours, leaving no waste to pollute the tanks. I usually feed these twice a day. Since my plecos are nocturnal, I drop some in in the evening because the other fish have completely eaten what went in in the morning.

**Q: how many .oz is this for?**
A: 4.6 oz

**Q: Do these break apart and dissolve quickly or will they hold their shape well in water?**
A: They brake apart as the fish eat them. My fish don't give them time to 
Dissolve. They would if they sat there to long

A: It has soldier fly larve, salmon, wheat, peas, potato, alfalfa & vitamins. I supplement with hikari algae wafers as well

**Q: How long does it take these pellets to sink? My fish prefers food that sinks quickly.**
A: They sink IMMEDIATELY for my fish!!!! As soon as you drop them in there they sink so I’m confused on the rest of the answers … uhh…..?! Yes , yes they sink immediately, not as fast as the bigger pellets for adult fish but that is because they’re bigger pellets , more weight . These are tiny pellets that sink right when they make water contact ………..

This is the food of choice in all of my tropical freshwater community tanks. I have a wide variety of picky fish. Most pellets and flakes are completely ignored, even by my top and midwater feeders. Those same top and mid water feeders rush to the bottom when these sinking pellets drop. As they pick at them, particles enter the water column and others feed mid water. I never have to worry that someone is going hungry and the pellets are completely consumed in a matter of hours, leaving no waste to pollute the tanks. I usually feed these twice a day. Since my plecos are nocturnal, I drop some in in the evening because the other fish have completely eaten what went in in the morning.
