Works great on hardened pine sap that dries like super glue! Took multiple applications over time, but it worked! Tip - use after it has rained. There were several days of consistent rain where some of the sap had loosened/moistened a bit. Went to a car wash bay. I sprayed on it my wet rained car and let it sit 15-20 second and sprayed off clean. Repeated this several times for a few days... Slowly ate the sap off and preserved the paint on my vehicle! Highly recommended for the cost!

I don't normally write reviews but I was so blown away by this product that I had to. I live in the woods and constantly get tree sap on my car. I've used other stuff in the past like Goo Gone and similar and they worked okay. Typically I had to spray the sap, wait ten minutes, then scrub it off. With this stuff, I sprayed it on then IMMEDIATELY WIPED the sap off. No waiting. No scrubbing. It just wiped away the sap. It honestly blew my mind. This stuff is freaking incredible.

A local store had sold us a Mothers Speed Foaming Bug & Tar Remover Spray which was totally useless on the tar which had dried on the sides of our white car for over 6 months (as we did not realize what it was!). We purchased Stoner Tarminator Tar which has the best reviews without having much hope as we thought most products do pretty much the same regardless of the brand. To our total surprise and delight, Stoner Tarminator totally worked and the tar started melting within 10 seconds! We just wiped the spot with microfiber towels and it took us less than an hour to repeat the process and easily remove all the tar stains and wash our car. We will take it to the local car wash for a wax. Thanks to Stoner Tarminator our car now looks like new!

Works pretty good and requires several rags to do the job

I recently tried Stoner Car Care’s Tar, Sap, and Asphalt Remover with high hopes of tackling some stubborn pine tree sap on my vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite the product’s claims, it failed to make a noticeable dent in removing the sap. First, let me say that the packaging and marketing of this remover are promising, but the performance is another story. Pine tree sap is notoriously difficult to deal with, and I expected this specialized product to handle the job effectively. However, after following the instructions meticulously—applying it directly to the sap, letting it sit for the recommended time, and then wiping it away—I found that it barely touched the sticky residue. The remover didn’t dissolve or lift the sap as advertised. Instead, I had to resort to excessive scrubbing and even tried multiple applications, which still didn’t yield the results I was hoping for. Not only did this consume a significant amount of my time, but it also left me frustrated and disappointed. In addition to its ineffectiveness on pine sap, the product’s smell was quite strong and unpleasant. It’s a minor point compared to its cleaning performance, but it did add to the overall negative experience. For anyone dealing with stubborn pine tree sap, I would recommend looking for alternative products specifically designed for that purpose. Stoner’s Tar, Sap, and Asphalt Remover might work fine for tar and asphalt, but when it comes to pine sap, it falls short of expectations. Save yourself the hassle and try a different solution that’s proven to handle sap effectively.

I don't rave. And I certainly don't throw around "Like it Never Happened," but this was amazing. I had driven my black convertible 1999 show car Corvette down a long country road on a sunny Monday evening. Unknow to me, the road that had just been completely repaved. And was nowhere near dry. Clearly the road crew had taken the signs down prematurely. I heard a little spatter at the time but didn't think much of it. When I got home (after dark) I pulled the car into the garage where I didn't look at it for over a month. When I next pulled it out, I saw that it was covered in a fine spray of tar. It looked like a fist coat of black spray paint. I was sick. The sides, rear end, running and taillights and even up onto the hood were covered in a fine tar mist. It was so set that even with my fingernail I couldn't scrape any off. With little hope of success, I searched Amazon for a product. Rufus finally suggested Stoner Car Care 91154. I figured I had nothing to lose. My only other option was the $$$ detail shop. However, with appropriate patience, and following the directions exactly, the tar melted like butter. It wiped away with a cloth. Little if any effort. I had the whole car cleaned in an hour with one can. I wish I had taken before and after pictures, but I honestly didn't think it was going to work so I didn't bother. Wow, was I wrong! Like. It. Never. Happened. Amazing.

I tried this product on my car to remove tree sap, but unfortunately, it didn’t work as expected. It might work for lighter spots, but it wasn’t effective on tougher sap stains.

Worked great. I would buy again. Had tar on the sides behind tires( fenders) of Silverado, came off perfectly.

This product is amazing!!! We have a big pine tree where we have to park our SUV. It was loaded in pine tree sap. We tried everything under the sun to remove it but nothing worked and someone suggested we try this product. It was a godsend. It worked to remove all the sap off our vehicle. We washed it first and one can of the spray removed all the sap. It took a bit of wiping but it all came off even after it had hardened on with heat from the sun. I certainly recommend this product to for tree sap. It is the best!!!! I will buy again just to have a can on hand.

This stuff is the best to remove sap from your vehicle windows. It is harder to remove from the vehicle body, on the paint. It does comes off, but needs more elbow grease. You need to rub harder. It really works. The only thing we could find to remove it from our vehicle.

Excellent product. It removed last year's baked-on sap without the waiting period and without any hard rubbing. It also finds any small cuts or cracks in your hands.

Fantastic! Got rid of all the annoying little black tar spots on my car that I have tried scrubbing and picking previously without success.
