Not sure on the noise reduction portion but its a solid clamp and works well connecting my exhaust fan and the charcoal filter. been sitting solid for a few months now and unless the fan is running at 80% or higher you don't hear anything in the room or while walking past it. It doesn't obstruct the airflow and I feel like its pretty durable and will outlast my filter.

Well packaged and arrived early. Good quality but the wrong size for my application so returned. The 8in is tight and doesn’t expand much. 5 stars for the quality and easy return to Amazon.

A MUST have to connect filter and fan!! Never again will I use duct tape!!! Took forever to get the already sealed tape off my filter/fan. Clamp was easy to install & fits like a glove. And it definitely reduces noise! It's not going to silence the fan; But I can definitely tell a "significant" difference! Can turn the fan up higher before hearing it as much, and even then it's still quieter than before.

I got this for a 4" exhaust fan in a small grow box and it works great. I have it in between the fan and a carbon filter. The rubber is very thick and does a great job of reducing noise from vibrations of the fan. The clamps that come with it are solid and keep a tight seal on the fan and filter. All of their products are fairly priced and this is no exception. Quality product at a great price makes this a must have. Nothing to dislike about this product whatsoever.

Perfect method of joining the carbon filter and inline fan together. Docking a star because it should really just come with the fan/filter combo instead of being a separate purchase.

Works perfectly

I purchased an S&P Powervent PV-150X remote mounted exhaust fan for a bathroom that I am renovating. The PV-150X fan is great but the "kit" didn't have anything to connect the 6" duct to the fan inlet and outlet. I found these rubber couplings and they were PERFECT. They fit the fan connections snuggly and the 6" duct was even tighter. The rubber used for the couplings was flexible and appears to be very durable. The stainless steel hose clamps were equally well made. Overall, the price was very fair for a quality product. And the packaging was great. They put a big foam donut in each coupling so that it would not get crushed out of shape. The rubber coupling will also help isolate any vibration when the fan is running.
