Working fine zero leaks
Worked great in My 2 gallon size Rotopax Can

Corrects an original screw cap flaw
Excellent replacement for a faulty water container lid. This one wonโt crack from over tightening. Bonus is the flexing spout.

Scepter Replacement spout
I do not know about you but I detest the EPA regulated "NEW" gas spouts. All I can figure out is that these "NEW" are a more complicated way to spill more fuel all over the place. Although these are pricey (that is why 4 stars) they rehabilitate your old gas cans to like new functionality. These cans are all made in Canada and they are still legal up there. They are way smarter than we are. BEWARE THESE DO NOT FIT WEBCO CANS>

So easy to use
So much easier to use, like the older gas cans. This fits my 5 gallon Midwest Can; the opening on the can is 1 โ โ across. This is the same size as my Blitz can; however, the Blitz can has a shorter neck, so the spout doesnโt seat as well, and leaks a little when pouring in to the tank. (I donโt use it for my Blitz can, just tried it for the sake of more information - luckily, i donโt need it for my Blitz can, because it has a great spout that you just take the cap off and pour it out). I will add that other new gas cans I have, that have numerous โsafetyโ features on the spouts that are designed specifically for that can, will often leak or spill much more than this product on my Blitz. In fact, I bought this specifically to replace a non-safe โsafetyโ spout on my newer Midwest can. one caveat: the spout is very flexible, which can be an advantage; but when filling up the tank, it will leak (even on the Midwest can), if you let any weight from the can rest on the spout. Many of the โnewโ spouts are stiff so that the weight of the can is actually needed when positioning the spout on the outside of the gas tank. It has the plastic disc that covers the opening (that goes on top of the canโs opening, underneath the base of the spout) to keep contaminants and air out, plus a cap that goes over the end of the spout to keep dirt from getting in from the top (itโs relatively loose, but itโs perfectly fine for storage since the disc is protecting the contents of the can).

Different than Pictured but Better!!!
I gotta say that the new fangled gas cans are a great concept BUT they don't work. They either break or leak. Not to mention that you have to apply pressure to make them function as designed. I guess they are designed so that of you pass-out while filling your gas tank you will not continue to pour gas all over the place. Anywho, the spout that I received is the type with two tubes one for liquid the other as a vent to allow air back in to displace the liquid being poured out. Now I'll get to my point - you can use this on the new fangled gas cans that do not have a separate vent/cap and it really works! The only down side is that it does not come with a cap to fit on to the tube/spout. Still a full out five star in mho.

Better than expected
The spout that I received is different from the one illustrated. And better. Mine came with a bifurcated tube, a large diameter tube for the liquid in the can and a smaller tube for venting air back into the can. The replacement spout is also longer and flexible and so it allows me to position the spout and completely drain the liquid from the can. The small screw-on lid for the spout is still included in the package. It does not fit this re-designed spout. There is a cap center piece that can be placed in the end of the spout when the spout is inserted into the can to provide a seal for the can. A well made, reasonably priced product.

I hate the new gas can nozzles
This is a great nozzle replacement for anyone with the new nozzles that are being sold with the gas cans. I couldn't get the gas to pour out of the new nozzle without spilling it all over my hands and the side of the car. I ordered these nozzles not knowing if they were going to fit the gas cans and work properly. I couldn't be more thrilled. I replaced the nozzle on all of my cans and they work perfect. They have an air return on the nozzle so you have to be sure to place it on top when putting the nozzle on. When pouring gas, these nozzles seem to pour faster with a constant stream. I was glad I purchased these nozzles and will never use the horrible nozzles they place on the new cans. I placed these on new plastic 5 gallon cans.

Bad Design
The only way you can seal your gas can for storage is to stick the spout down inside the can and stick the provided cap inside the retainer ring using the only provided seal on the spout as the seal. You cannot set the spout aside for storage because it is the only piece with a seal, the cap doesn't have a seal The spout cap doesn't even fit the spout nozzle so it is useless. You will need to wear rubber gloves when using this to protect your hands from being soaked with fuel because of having to store the spout submerged inside the tank.
