The size
Too big on my sugar glider

My bearded dragon doesn't poop often, but when she does, it's always when she's roaming free around the house, and her poops are godawful! I though a diaper would be worth a shot. These work great on her! I had to cut the tail hole bigger, but they fit her well otherwise. They don't fall off, and they don't impair her movement, and she doesn't seem to mind wearing them. The diapers have a plasticky lining and the leg openings are cinched to prevent leaks. These diapers are NOT absorbent on their own, so I add a little bit of paper towel inside, and they contain about 80% of the messes. Not a perfect performance, but they exceed my expectations, and they make it significantly easier to let my lizard spend time out of her tank.

These little diapers are very well made. They are lined, the stitching is a good length, the elastic is encased, for the price I was really impressed. Unfortunately they are absolutely useless if you've got an animal capable of locomotion. There's some elastic around the tail and leg holes, but nothing around the waist. I have rats who dribble pee everywhere when they're free roaming or cuddling with us. I wanted to try to find something that would help make it all a little less gross. These diapers were too big for my four month old juveniles, though they just about fit my svelte adult females. There is no way these would fit an adult male rat. But all of that is irrelevant, because these diapers won't stay on. We got the tail through the hole, we got a little pad of paper towel put in for absorbency (they're lined with nylon fabric, but nothing truly waterproof or absorbent) and got them velcro'd closed, put the rat down, one wiggle, a half step and she walked out of the diaper. She just pulled her legs up through the very wide leg holes, as there's no elastic at the top, and stepped out because there's no elastic on the waist to prevent it. I'm debating if I want to try to fiddle around and try to improve on these, or if I just want to return them and sew up my own with a better design. Both are going to take a lot of work. These might work for newborn kittens or some animal with mobility issues, but if your critter is healthy and can move, these aren't going to work, even if they fit.

The item seemed a good idea when I read the product information and I bought it for my daughter's 8 month old Beardie. Didn't really work for two reasons 1) th3 top of the tail was just too big for the hole and while a snug fit was desirable, the spikes in his skin point the other way (towards the end of the tail) making pulling it up difficult and seemingly uncomfortable for Lizzy and making it super easy for it to slip off. in addition, due to the shape and size of the abdomen, trying to tighten the waist of the diaper so that it would stay on didn't work. In truth, I was a bit relieved ,when it didn't fit as I anticipated quite a mess if Lizzy did a poop as the poops are big and the space in the diaper quite limited . Its a good product but probably not suitable for our 8 month old beardie.
