Great product Easy to use Versatility is endless!
I wasn’t sure if I’d like this, but I had to try it. I am HOOKED! My husband and son really like the size of the pies and that I can make them and freeze them. Not just for fruit pies, either! We had leftover taco meat and I made pies with it. Ran out of pie dough, so I tried using puff pastry. Both are fantastic! The only issue I have is that the directions should be a bit “clearer” — I had to figure out how long to heat them — using the light as a guide was not helpful as the pies were never even browned. Still…. I made some notes for myself so I don’t forget what time I had to let them bake. Overall? This product is even better than I hoped it would be! Will be making and freezing more now! Reheating is easy — just do not use the microwave as it would make the dough soggy 😉

This is a fun little appliance
Perfect for making pot pies. The pies are quite small but two of them makes a perfect individual serving. I need to practice getting the pie crust dough in there perfectly, but even with rather sloppy crusts they still cooked through in about 8 minutes and the crust was nicely golden.

Performed as I needed
This is great for making mini pies that won't be wasted. I don't like reheating frozen pastries. It seems like the cost of pie filling has skyrocketed. Making small portions that will be eaten in a day or two is fine with me. I made some cherry pies and they came out great. I will use a 4.5 or 5 inch cookie cutter to cut the dough. Two tips: roll out the dough on the thicker side as it bakes better than dough that's too thin, and lay a piece of parchment paper over the top of the pies whether you use a top layer or not. It helps the content to cook better and not burn the top layer. I deducted a star because there is no dough cutter included. Too bad. Otherwise, it's a pretty good product that's easy to use and clean.

Cooks well, but needs extras
Unlike the picture, it did not come with a butter/oil brush, which isn't that big a deal. No recipe book but I can find recipes online. Instructions don't say what size to cut dough into to fit in the pie's wells - that's annoying. Red light does NOT turn off when the green light comes on. Instructions suggest the pie is ready when the green light turns off - NOPE! I had to leave my pie in for four light cycles; so be prepared to babysit the machine. The crust DOES come out beautifully! I made samosas (Indian appetizers) - cooked up exactly the way I had hoped! I'm going to make an actual pie next time.

Easy pie maker
This is fantastic when you have a picky family and each wants something different for dinner. I keep premade dough at the ready then it's easy to put your left over Chinese food/diced chicken with veggies/ beef stew in to make personal pot pies! Can't wait for Thanksgiving to test out individual fruit pies; apple, cherry, blueberry...mmmm

Easier to use, no
I bought the slightly used pie maker but it did not work at all. Never fully cooked my food.

Broken! Cleaned and preheated/seasoned like recommended. Went to use for the first time and won’t turn on! Feels poor quality and is flimsy too!

You need to practise to get the crust right.
