I was initially skeptical about picking out a dark roast, but these fragrant beans make wonderful AeroPress coffee. I haven't quite nailed down the recipe yet, but so far my default recipe of 8.5 grams of beans at 90° (inverted configuration, course grind, shallow soak for 90s, top off and brew for 60s, plunge slowly) makes for a rich and decadent cup of coffee that can be enjoyed black or with a splash of milk, with a deep flavor I can only describe as "golden"

I received my coffee today I made a part of it trying to come of the coffee it was very smooth tasting very easy on my stomach I really enjoyed it I would buy it again for sure

We've been searching for an organic coffee that doesn't have a bitter aftertaste, or that tinge of acidity. We've tried all sorts of brands available in the grocery stores including many of the boutique brands of organic and fair trade coffee. Nearly all of them have some bitterness or or a weird "tinge" in the aftertaste that is unpleasant. This is the first one we've tried with zero bitterness and no weird acidic aftertaste. Just a full bodied, nutty, smooth flavor! Not sure what their magic is, but this is clearly different than other brands and certainly stands out and a delicious coffee that we will order again. The price is a little high but if you pick it up on sale the price is on par with other premium coffees. If you're sensitive to bitterness or acidity, give this a try!

this coffee made me ill. my stomach became upset and i had allergic reactions where my body started swelling up. it also made me extremely sleepy. i tried drinking it again hours later to make sure it was this coffee that was causing it and the exact same things happened again. i was so looking forward to experiencing a high quality coffee but they are not high quality coffee. the beans are super dry and they do not look fresh like some other brands i have tried like Peets coffee. Peets coffee has nice oily shine and their beans are extremely fragrant. Could it be they over processed these beans to reduce caffeine with some chemicals? i maybe allergic to the chemicals they used for some kind of processing. i have similar allergic reactions to decaf coffees.

Good coffee. Safe based on what I read. No acid discomfort. I like strong coffee so I have to put about 4 teaspoons in my Ninja coffee maker to get a real stronger taste. Otherwise its a mild cofee. The medium roast however is extremely week and it takes so much to get any flavor its not worth buying. They need to develop a strong tasting bean n the future.

I read the reviews and was really excited to try this Dark Roast organic coffee. I feel coffee taste vary, it is a personal thing and while I believe the reviews here on Amazon are totally legit I almost wonder what I am missing here? Did I get a different bag of brew than everyone else? There is nothing dark or robust about the flavor of this coffee and it was noticable as soon as I opened the bag. I brewed it in my French coffee press even I added more than the usual grounds and less water and let it brew longer. Still nope. I am not a coffee snob! I just like strong black coffee. I can't imagine how weak this would have been with anything added to it. I love that they care about the planet + this is organic healthy and if the flavor had been right I would buy it again for all the right reasons. This if for the people that like it dark and strong like me, you have been warned. 3 stars for all the right reasons - minus 2 for the weak flavor and price.

This is the second time I am puchasing this coffee. Love the mellow taste and it smells wonderful. Unfortunately, I think it is a bit on the pricey side.

Honestly this roast is solid, I'd compare it to Starbucks. I do notice that the acid is definitely reduced when I drink this compared to other brands. I'll continue to use. Sincerely, a reflux sufferer.

Not only is this expensive and ended up being a bag full mostly of air, but we could barely choke this coffee down. It tastes akin to that flavour you get in your mouth when you smell skunk spray, and that flavour cannot be drowned out by cream or honey. Will never buy this again.
