Hubbell-Raco 906C 1 Duplex Receptacle and Toggle Switch 4-Inch Square Exposed Work Cover, Steel

Good quality cover for standard 4" square metal box.

I have a couple of “testing” extension cords for my electrical projects, and they both contain an outlet and a switch. My local big box store doesn’t ever have the covers in this configuration, so I had to use a regular wall plate until I found these. My project cords look sufficiently “industrial” now. They are, of course, functional and can serve as an on/off switch for equipment that doesn’t have one. The price is great and I enjoy the look.

Needed another one of these for down in the geerage - adding an in-wall 120v timer alongside a GFCI. First off - this items hard to find in this style. Box stores r always out of em or simply dont even carry the style. IF u have commercial sized steel wall boxes this is a neccessary item all should carry. SO I'm glad I found it here. The only issue with these is due to the device mounting. its set thru the cover meaning the device themselves need to b secured to it prior to install to the box. SO - u wait til u have it in order to wire the devices afterwards OR you're in for time of un-wiring to redo. Other than that - all set - devices fit well within the openings and the mounting holes lineup to any brands similar sized work boxes. Good product here.

This worked perfectly for my application (240v switch in the garage). The steel cover is much sturdier than any plastic one. I feel very comfortable turning the switch on and off knowing it’s held securely in place with this cover.

if you need an outlet and a switch in the same area this one is for you. Saves the time and money of installing and wiring two separate boxes, you will need a duplex box though.

I purchased these 4-Inch Square Exposed Work Cover to make a DIY Portable Switched Power Outlet. The covers were not as pictured. The actual covers I received only had 2 holes for mounting the Duplex Receptacle instead of 3 holes. No screws or nuts were included for mounting the Duplex Receptacle. I had to purchase mounting nuts at the Hardware. Other than the issues mentioned, good quality product.

This is the correct cover for a 4" Handy Box.

No issues with cover. Have bought several. Like the slightly raised face allowing for a little room behind outlets for wiring. Will buy again.

Worked great for mounting welder plugs in my shop with either flush-mounted or surface mounted boxes.

These are a hard item to find for the DIY Guy especially in Canada, as these "crushed corner" boxes only seem to be called for in certain commercial conduit purposes. I needed these for a special switch box I was building and the extra half inch depth was worth the price. The metal is fairly thick and I was able to drill and tap it for a small machine screw to hold some components. Glad to find these I hope they are available in the future.
