My dogs like to play a game called, "Open and close the door a thousand times so I can keep running in and out of the house." I either have to become a butler or I have to live with a thousand flies in the house. I'm on my third one of these nets. The first one was torn to shreds by a friend's dog who thought it was a toy. The second got taken down before last winter and "put somewhere safe." It's so safe, in fact, that I haven't been able to find it. I bought this net for the third time and, if it gets eaten or lost, I'll buy a fourth. It's way better than a pet door, allows a nice breeze to blow into the house on mild days, and doesn't require me to open/close the door every time my dogs see a squirrel in the yard (don't worry-- they don't stand a shot of actually catching one). Installation was simple. I put the velcro in the door frame using the supplied tacks, then stuck the net to the velcro. I found that the net would loosen as my dogs cannonballed through the net at Mach 2, so I did something that I DON'T recommend-- I used a staple gun to semi-permanently affix the net to the door frame. I also used a drywall screw with a large finish washer to secure the very top of the net, where the two halves meet. Now it doesn't loosen up no matter how rambunctious my dogs get. If you have more tranquil canines, you probably won't need to do this. Installation is simple, the net is pretty secure, and the cost is low. The only drawback is that, in my door frame, the net gets between the door and the jamb sometimes and prevents the door from closing. I could have solved this by moving the net a little further out, but instead I just push it out of the way every time I close the door. It's not enough of an inconvenience to matter, and maybe someday I'll fix it. In the meantime, I can leave the door open most of the day without worrying about bugs flying in. UPDATE: After going through 3 of these nets, I can tell you that in my house they last about a year. They work great to keep flies out, but two energetic dogs crashing through them several times a day for months on end will eventually tear holes in them. By September, it's time to toss it in the garbage. I'm actually OK with this. The amount of wear and tear these things receive in my house with my supersonic dogs going through it at Mach 7 is unbelievable. I'm surprised they last as long as they do, and I'm fine with buying a new one every year. If you have gentler dogs, yours may last longer. But even as a 1-year throwaway, I consider this net a good value.

Absolutely loved this! I have a glass patio door with a doggie door. This prohibited me from using the screen door that came with the door as it left a big gap between the glass door and screen door. Someone suggested this and Voila! It is perfect. I can have my glass patio door fully opened when the weather is nice and this screen curtain keeps the bugs out. The dogs just push it out of the way. So the bad, the sticky tap it comes with to attach the screen curtain to the frame of your fixed door, didn't last 3 months. It all peeled down. I tried gorilla glue, hot glue (gun) and nothing would hold up the weight of the screen with the magnets. Finally I got electricians tap on top of the screen and the glue and it appears to be holding. But... it looks so ghetto like when someone breaks a window and tapes it up. Im going to have to hire someone to come screen the top into the frame of the fixed door to hold the weight. So be prepared. Its a pain in the arse to get it back up. If you want it to last, do it right from the start. Don't rely on the sticky glue it comes with. That part is cheap and won't last

LOVE IT, extremely affordable and keeps the gnats out. All summer I was purchasing candles, insect repellent to ward off insufferable mosquito bites, unnecessary cost 😩. This simple purchase made it possible to keep my back door open and enjoy my back deck; referencing good screen quality. OMG thank you. The magnets are sturdy and reliable.
