That is even less than the renowned Pro-Ject Debut Carbon with the much less expensive (but also great) Ortofon Red cartridge. The only difference I can see is the heavier Acrylic platter on the 85 versus aluminum on the 84, and thus about a 2 pound weight difference on the two TTs. Maybe that is worth the extra $115 bux that I am seeing in the pricing right now, don't know.
