My nagoya antennas dont work well with the BFF8** A: I'm using this Diamond on the BF-F8HP and it works great for transmitting, especially in more remote areas. As far as receiving, I havent really noticed much difference vs. the high-gain Baofeng antenna that it came with. In fact, I use the original Baofeng in the car because it receives better in the smaller space (less noise). **Q: will this work with teh Baofeng uv-9r?** A: Yes, since I believe that Baofeng uses a reverse SMA connector. The SRJ77CA will make a drastic difference on both transmit and receive; especially on weak, distant signals. **Q: I'm new with this stuff, do i need an adapter to use with my baofeng uv82?** A: I own the uv-5r and a f9v2+ and I can use this on both of them without and adapter the uv82 uses the same SMA antenna as those two so no you do not need an adapter. **Q: The antenna pictured if you click ad is not a Diamond (original) SRJ77CA. Not sure what the antenna pictured is. Can someone clarify before I order?** A: It is a diamond antenna.
