Stays hot for about 10-12 hours, ice cubes even longer! Pretty little cup, I've had no leakage issues with the lid. Get a good use out of one tea bag, makes a large mug size or 2 cup sizes, I like a pot of tea this one does just as well, I went for the greyish/white. It has a rubber bit at the bottom for non-slip. Don't forget you'll be drinking out of a tin can and it won't cool down like a cup it'll stay hot even after a few sips not your best china so has a different experience. Very pleased definitely recommend and buy again 5Stars

I've been using the Contigo Streeterville desk mug for a couple of weeks now, mostly at my desk and around the house. I pour my coffee in around 8 am, and it's still comfortably hot around noon so it easily holds heat for 4–5 hours. That matches what other reviews have reported about its vacuum insulation keeping drinks hot for hours and cold even longer. The stainless steel handle feels sturdy and makes sipping easier. The base has a rubberized grip that prevents sliding which is a nice touch. The lid isn’t completely leak proof and tilting it can cause a leak, but it’s splash proof at least but this should not be an issuse if used as a desk/office mug as intended. It is all dishwasher safe, so it's low maintenance. And the slider which slides over the sip hole can be removed for easy cleaning. I’ve had no staining issues yet, though I take care to rinse it fairly quickly after use. It holds a good amount, (420 ml), and fits nicely under my single-serve coffee maker which is perfect for refills. That said, it's too wide for a standard car cup holders, so it’s not great if you plan to commute with it. It’s a reliable desk mug. Keeps beverages at a good sipping temp for hours, feels solid, and is easy to clean. Not perfect for travel and can leak if tilted too much but for stationary use, especially at home or in the office (As designed for), it’s spot on.

I'm terrible at making a hot drink and then letting it get cold on the desk. This solved most of that problem and kept the drink warmer for longer. I don't drink from it through the top. I use it more like a traditional cup and as a result it keeps warm for a reasonable time. Don't expect it to be litle a thermos, or other insulated coffee container. This is not what it is for. The lid is NOT leakproof. It is useful for keeping the hot drink inside the cup whilst traversing a few flights of stairs over light coloured carpets. However, tip it towards the drinking spout and the liquid will come out, whether it is open or closed. I always handwash (as that's what it says) but I do believe that the outer coating will come off if put in a dishwasher. It does not claim to be dishwasher proof. It's a perfect cup for the desk, and can be used whilst on a meeting without looking as though you've out on an expedition!

It stays hot for 3 hours, then warm for the next 2 hours. It is a very nice mug. The only issue that I have with it is that the colour outside wears out from use apart from ut it is a very nice mug and fancy

Excellent cup keeps hot for hours, perfect for lazy mornings in bed no need to refill as holds at least 2 mugs worth! Little bit of leak from the top but not worth dropping a star for. Does the job perfectly!

Keeps it hot for a while and warm for a while longer. Metal build with a metal handle, should last a long time too. Drinking hole is better than their flasks as it doesn't dribble down your chin, and the lid easily separates into 2 for cleaning. My old Thermos mug had an awful lid that dribbled, did not fit well, and so had sealing problems too. This lid is far better and is sized perfectly that its usable on both. On sale for £5.16: absolute steal.
