A must have if your AC doesn't have a built in temperature or remote control.
This works great! I've been using it control my window AC unit in the summer for 2 years now and I have no complaints. Easy setup and my room is kept within the desired temperature range. I'm sure its helped save me some money by not letting the AC run all the time. This also works as a remote control for my AC which is very handy.

Great for controlling wood stove fan
I use this to control the fan on a wood stove and it works great. I tried a wired thermostat outlet and this one is much better. Both the function within the remote is better and being able to place in anywhere in the room makes a big differenceโฆ basically turns the fan off when the room reached the desired temperature and as the room cools, it turns the fan back on. We have been doing that manually for years, this is great..

Works for my application with some limitations
I use this to control the pump on a water radiator heating system in our second home. Wood fired external system pumps hot water to house radiators when thermostat calls for heat. Original system failed. Replacement (Insteon) system failed and is in obsolescence. Trying this and it does work but the range is suspect. Well under the advertised 100' but one exterior wall to penetrate and it didn't work. Had to move thermostat to a closer windowsill that will throw off the temp accuracy.

Convenience and comfort!
This is the ultimate barn hack! We use these on the individual fans for our show horses to control when the fans turn on or off. No more worrying about running to the barn to shut fans off during a brief cool down. works great and you can even sync multiple thermostats to one remote to run all the fans on the barn on one. Highly recommend !

Can't turn the alarm off permanently. AVOID!
This thing works fine but it has a fatal flaw. There is NO WAY to turn the alarm off permanently. We have it set to control a 400W heater if the temperature falls below the set level. It works great, but the alarm goes off at random intervals until the unit reaches reaches the turn off temperature. The unit usually turns on at night meaning the alarm beeper, which is quite loud, goes off randomly multiple times at night. The manual states that you can mute the beeper by pressing any button when it's going off. That's fine, but that means you can turn it off only after it wakes you up, and it's not a permanent setting. It'll wake you up again to turn if off 20 minutes later. The alarm function turns this from a good design to a design from HELL. DO NOT BUY THIS unless you like being woken up over and over at random intervals during the night.

Works great, turns on/off furnace booster fan
I have a booster fan on a heating duct in my basement going to my enclosed porch/sunroom where my Bonsai are located. I wanted the booster fan to go on below 60degrees and off above 65degree. I installed two AAA bateries (not supplied) in the remote, changed Celsius to Farenheit, mode was already in HEAT. I set ON to 60degrees and OFF to 65degrees. I plugged the receiver into outlet, then plugged booster fan power cord into receiver. The remote was already paired with receiver. I put the remote with temperature sensor (W100 model) in the porch, testing with window open. As soon temp lowered to 59F, booster fan went on. I moved remote to warm vent air, when temp got to 65F, booster fan turned off. Works great, and now I don't have to run downstairs to switch booster fan on/off, and better than having fan controlled by furnace, because I don't need fan on when the sun warms the porch/sunroom >65F but inside house still needs furnace heat. I had to use a 3-prong outlet extender when plugging in receiver for clearance of outlet switch, just a slight inconvenience. (Receiver covers whole outlet)

This thing works
I bought this so that I could control two Envi Plug in Wall Heaters. I wanted the heaters because they do not have a fan and I would not have to worry about noise or moving parts. The bad part is that the heaters are do not have a thermostat. The WTC 100 took care of that problem. The remote sensor cycles the heaters on and off resulting in a very even room temperature. Setting things up was a little confusing because it took me a minute to figure out how to pair the socket and the remote. But once I had them paired, the system has worked flawlessly (about three weeks). Overall, a great product!

Toasted two of them!
Over the past two years I have purchased 4 of these units. One unit failed completely due to excess heat even though it was controlling less than 8A of its 15 amp specification. I returned another unit after having it less than a couple of weeks since it was similarly overheating. I noticed now in the current specification that they do not have a maximum current rating. All it says is 240 V. If your application only requires a capacity of 5-6 A at 120 V, I'd recommend this product. The construction is quality and once you learn how to operate the controller, it does the job nicely. I'd say the repeatability is within one degree. I would give this product a 5-star rating if they improved the current capacity rating to its original spec of 15A. I took one unit apart and the components inside are rated for 15 amp but obviously cannot take this load.

Would reccomend.
I was able to find a video on Youtube that helped me set this up. I'm using it with a new electric fireplace, it's working very well, the fireplace is coming on and shutting off as the thermostat in the remote dictates.

Very good to have for fans or heaters without thermal controls.
1. You can only set temperature in 1degree increments 2. Batteries run out on the hand remote pretty quickly other then that all is well so far. I use the room heater to connect via the plug. I bought 2 sets of these items and Also purchased 2 ceramic heaters for my 2 rooms all is working fine.
