Mom falls out of bed. Most alarm systems only alert you once the weight of the person lifts off the bed, in other words: TOO LATE. This is different. A true MOTION SENSOR, you decide the placement. It can be mounted to the wall, placed just about anywhere on sticky tabs OR just sat on the floor, tucked under the bed or a nearby desk or dresser. As soon as mom enters the field, the alarm sounds. This means I can place it a few inches above her bed, so it alerts if she bends her knee or a little higher so it sounds if she sits up. I can point it at her bed, so it sounds if she even starts to turn over. I can put it on the wall near the bed, so it sounds when her legs swing over. PLUS: the alarm can be mounted or carried around like a pager and the volume can be adjusted. It works well enough around the house or if I need to step outside in the yard or to get the mail. I’ve got the system, (chair alarm and bed alarm), but we move the bed alarm around so it works in other ways, like if she’s in her wheelchair and I want to be alerted if she starts to move, etc.

97-year-old father-in-law with advanced dementia. Nuff said. This product has been a godsend! It allows much more freedom of movement about the house so that it’s not eyes on 24/7. It’s so much more easier with these. For anyone who is watching him. They work perfectly. Are very easy to install an operate. Can’t recommend them highly enough. I work in healthcare and have suggested these to many people already. Will continue to do so. This product is everything that they say it is and more. Don’t hesitate to buy it. It works wonderful and it does work like it says

I purchased this a while ago for my father he is 92 and has Alzheimer’s, and I never hooked it up. It’s super super easy to hook up takes about 1 minute. I was lazy and left it in the box for a year plus. Then a month ago my father fell he slipped out of bed and he spent a week in the hospital with tremendous bruising and awful pain in his back. I felt guilty I should have been there I should have heard him. I have a small nanny camera in his room and I didn’t hear or see the fall at 3:00 am. As soon as we came home from the hospital I put it on his bed and then bought another pad for his chair- IT IS BRILLIANT! The alarm is highly, soft or vibrate and now I can work in my office and and if he gets up I know and I can be there to assist him or just make sure he is ok. A total lifesaver!!

Not worth it I wouldn’t buy it again

I love that I can carry the receiver with me in my pocket if I need to be away briefly from patient in wheel chair. I am alerted quickly if he attempts to stand, but he does not hear an alarm that would frighten him. I have it set on lower volume, which is all I need since it is in my pocket or clipped on me anytime I am going to be out of sight range. I use it under his wheelchair cushion, so he doesn't feel it, and it still works each time so far. The added safety is always welcomed with dementia, because the patient believes they can walk still and tries to quite often. The result could be horrible without some of these wonderful alert items. Very happy with purchase.

Warning! Do not use the batteries included as they are cheap and only last 2 weeks. The very short duration of the batteries created an unsafe environment as the alarm unexpectedly failed.. The product works well as long as good batteries are used.

Purchased this for my elderly mother who is living in a Personal Care Home. Actually purchased alarms for her wheelchair and her recliner where she spends much of her day (and night) as she is at very high risk for falls. The HCA's hate the loud piercing alarm but it certainly gets their attention when Mom gets up! After only 6 months problems developed with the monitor. I contacted Lundberg directly. Agna was incredibly helpful! After it became obvious that the monitor had failed she quickly sent me a new one by Priority Post. Wonderful company to deal with!!!!!

J'ai acheté pour ma mère qui habite en résidence, et l'allarme répond parfaitement au besoin.

This works like a charm, you carry the remote in your pocket and it notifies you when the person gets off the sensor. It is great and well worth the money.
