Item was exactly as described. Really good quality construction. Material seems strong and should hold up to fire pit.

I am sure this will work just fine, but it could be a bit more substantial. Most welcome mats are thicker than this material. I’ll be interested in seeing how it holds up.

I have used this fire mat several times now and it works as described. I’ve had hot ash fall on it with no issues. When I’m done, I just wipe it off fold it up and put it away for next time. Can’t get easier than that plus I think the price is very fair. Warning update: While recently camping a large hot ember landed on the mat. I didn’t have tongs to pick it up and put it back in the stove so I just left it alone. I’ve had other small embers land on it with no issues. When I went to pack up the mat, my canvas tarp and my vinyl tarp both were melted completely through where the ember was sitting. The fire mat was not damaged. The heat transferred through the mat and literally melted my two tarps underneath it. If this mat was sitting on top of my wood deck, I believe it would have scorched it or worse. Buyer beware.

Incredibly disappointed. Used this mat one time, and my lawn is absolutely burnt. SO glad I DID NOT try it on my deck! We have a metal fire pit on legs. Burnt a few wood construction scraps for about an hour or so. Moved the mat the next morning, and there’s a round dead grass spot. What the heck is the purpose of this “fireproof” mat??? I wish I hadn’t waited longer than 30 days to use it, or I would 100% get a refund…

Big and round protects large area beneath the grill and smoker. No grease stains ir drips and easy toclean with a garden hose, a squirt of Dawn, a broom to swish it around and hose off. Thick fabric so you know its going to last thru lots of seasons.

While this product did the job to protect the surface from any sparks or embers, over time (6+ months) the edges curled so any rainwater that fell stayed in puddles on the mat. Also within a year the color faded and didn't look good. I will order another one to put under the fire pit when we're using it then put it away in between uses as it still serves the purpose as needed

Works as it should

i have used this fire pit mat a handful of times now. i have it set up on my brick patio. previous to this a fire made my bricks super hot and would discolor them. With this matt the blocks stay cool and the color keeps normal. Also helps with easy clean up and moving of the firepit with any coals or woods chips laying around!!!! 10/10 highly recommend.

This is amazing, we can have fires on our back deck all winter and we don’t have to worry about the carpet burning! We love it!

It may be fire resistant but it will scorch your deck if you are using a charcoal BBQ

This product is exactly as advertised, use it underneath my charcoal pizza oven and no issues, a must for safety!
