The Boxcar Children Mysteries Boxed Set 9-12

My grandson got interested in this series as a new reader. He read the books over and over and I have ended up buying him several in the series. With so many different stories, he never got bored with it. He is an avid reader today. If a kid gets interested in a story then reading is a pleasure rather than just a homework chore.

"The Boxcar Children" is a classic "rags to riches" story about four siblings and these books take you on the family's many adventures. My students enjoy reading all about the next mystery or adventure of the children and their beloved grandfather. The price makes them an exceptional value. I highly recommend this set.

Purchased for a soon to be 7 yr old. We just finished the 8th book and he requested more. We may go a few months w/ o reading a boxcar book as we have a variety of books in between. These books are clean meaning you dont have to worry if there is going to be any inappropriate characters popping up. Sad that we have to scan kids movies today to decide whats hidden in the middle. Occasionally I may cringe as things were said differently years ago but these books teach morals,kindness,appreciation of family & friends with always a mystery to solve.

We started out with the reader edition for our 1st grader to read. Then we began collection the chapter editions. We read to them to our kids and now they are re- reading them to themselves. These are quality readers that I grew up with. Wholesome family novels.

Amazing books, lots of thrill and adventures. Some books are better than others. The quality of the books are exceptional. The artwork seems to be done by a different illustrator every book but still good quality.

Our third grader reads at a sixth grade level and we found these books are interesting to him but also have wholesome values that don’t present content that is above his maturity level. We listen to them on tape for road trips and even our younger kids enjoy them.

My granddaughter really enjoy these books.

Excellent books for children! I've purchased or recommended them to parents, grandparents, and even a neighbor. All were happy to have a gift for a child who loves to read. Plus most of the adults remember them when they were children!

Exzellente Serie, die zum Lesen motiviert! Meine Tochter verschlingt die Bücher und man kommt mit dem Nachbestellen kaum mit! Ich kann die Serie Englischlesern nur empfehlen.

Easy to read, dont like some of the language or the stereotypical chores and ideas of women
