The start of something that can be great.
As someone who does high-level video and photography, this Pro Blade Mag is what I have been needing. It's small, powerful, and fast. The biggest reason I invested in the Pro Blade mag was how you can use the full ecosystem. The ability to use the mag with the other accessories that are made to work with it means you can scale this system up and really future-proof many of your work projects.

5 STAR rating for speed and time saver.
Excellent SSD, it took the back up of my Mac drive within 10 minutes. The capacity of my os drive is around 800GB using super duper. Great disk. 5 star is for performance only.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR THOSE THAT WANT TO DROP IN YOUR OWN M.2
So I wanted to purchase a 1TB Mag and drop in my own 4TB M.2 since it's considerably cheaper. Well it DOESN'T work. The 4TB M.2 does fit in the Mag with no issues but the dock can't read it. I believe the dock does a hardware check. I was using a 4TB Crucial M.2 to test though. I'll report back when I try out a Sandisk/WD branded 4TB.

The small form factor is very handy such that the SSD can be used with the portable USB-C carrier to direct connect to my Camera or Laptop. As the SSD is also super rugged, you don't have to worry that it will be easily damaged in the field. I use the SSD both in the portable USB-C carrier and the 4 port thunderbolt base station. They run exceptionally fast data transfers. My only concern is under medium use, the SSD's get very hot which may reduce the MTBF of the device, so best to always keep backups. For its stated use case, its an excellent ecosystem of carriers and SSD's
