Keeps everything together and protected. The case is a hard case but not hard enough to put a lot of weight on it. Just don't stack heavy items on top of it and you'll be fine. I really like the case overall and am very glad I got it when I got the DBpower DVD player. I also purchased an external speaker (bluetooth) and a bluetooth TX device that fits in the earphone plug. Feels solidly built and the inner material feels soft, not cheap. Same goes for the zipper and netting inside. I am able to (although tightly) a DVD case and the charger for the player. Only suggestion is moving the zipper to one side or the other instead of being dead center, simply because the DVD case can barely fit through the opening and I'm concerned about ripping something after constant use of that.
