It has a complicated install but the family is happy we can now enter keyless. The set up was pretty easy using the Aqara app. The app is generally intuitive apart from a few small UI issues - when the door is open, the app calls it unclosed. The word disconnected is on two lines ie. “Disconnecte”, then “d” on the second line. These things are certainly not a deal breaker, rather little annoyances that should have been addressed so that customers would feel more confident in the product. Also it is very loud announcing instructions, which is annoying, but mutable in settings. Nevertheless I am planning on using this product (and other Aqara products) in my smart home network using smart things and a Zigbee adapter (so no need for the Aqara app once set up is complete). I have an iPhone and the door showed up in my Home app along with an Apple key straight away. For some reason the key would not work for a few days but is now. Maybe it was the way I was holding it (it should be very close to the keypad). Overall this smart door lock is an excellent product and I highly recommend it! It has so many options - password, finger print, Apple key, NFC fobs, back up keys. You will not be disappointed.
