I ordered this version so I wouldn't have to use a flat iron. I read every piece of paper that came with the tube and followed the instructions exactly. I read a lot about this smelling on your hair if you don't follow the rinse instructions carefully, so I timed how long I rinsed exactly, between one and two minutes. Also, even though I used my blow dryer to dry my hair, and then waited another hour to be certain it was completely dry, I decided to use my flat iron after it was dry because I knew the results would be better. This stuff is amazing at first. It was easy to blow it out smooth. I let it air dry and scrunched it with my hands, and my curls were nice and defined with no frizz. I got compliments on my hair that day. It definitely looks better, whether I wear it straight or let it air dry. I have been washing it every day since I applied it; I walk every morning and I'm too sweaty when I get in not to wash it. I decided to see how long it would work. I would say it started wearing off after three weeks, and I am using Babyliss Keratin shampoo and conditioner I ordered from Amazon. Even though my very wavy/curly and frizzy hair is coming back, this stuff is still working when I use my blow dryer. It doesn't take nearly as long to dry, and it takes only a few passes for it to straighten. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I have hair almost to my shoulders; I used only half a tube for my first application, so if it lasts me a month or more it will be worth the price. It definitely makes a big difference in how frizzy it is.

Did absolutely nothing for my hair. I didn’t use the flat iron which is optional because I’m trying to stay away from its damaging heat. Sending it back. Ridiculous price. Waste of my time

I have long naturally curly hair and thought, hey, I can try this! It comes with a ton of instructions that are easy to read and follow, but I feel to be very daunting. I think the product description could be better to note that this is like coloring your hair at home. It requires clothing and towels that you don't care if they get damaged or stained, it matters if you have color-treated hair as it could impact the color - so they recommend using this before you touch up your color - for that reason, I gave it a few stars and won't try it yet, b/c I have to work it into the schedule for my highlights with my colorist. The brush is amazing. I use it every time I style my hair. Great for bangs or big waves, which is weird since it comes with a straightening product. If you've had success with this product, I want to know your secrets. It's super intimidating and didn't have enough upfront information.

As the packaging warned, the product stripped out a lot of my color. They suggested coloring after. But when I did that, the color stripped out the keratin treatment. I can’t use both, even a few days apart, so I’m disappointed.

My hair is curly/wavy, so I used a flat iron on a few of the curliest sections around the base of my head, and it made a noticeable difference. I live in a humid climate, and my hair has stayed smooth and easy to blow-dry for over two months now. I was also pleasantly surprised by how far the product goes. My hair is short, so I used only what I needed and still have enough left for two more treatments—meaning this one tube will save me several hundred dollars compared to salon pricing. I’m really happy this is available for home use and highly recommend it.

I love this stuff! 2nd time using and since I live where humidity rarely takes a day off, my curly hair stays frizzed to the max! Until I tried this at home keratin treatment, I could only dream of having silky, straight hair because I could never afford the In Salon treatments which cost hundreds every 3 months. I like that the Flat Iron Free Keratin keeps my curls in tact should I feel like wearing my hair curly and there are days that I really don't have the energy to blow dry my hair out. I also love that it absolutely cuts down on the time it takes to blow my hair straight! Winning!

I bought the Flat Airon Free Express treatment thinking it would be a good alternative without using a flat iron, but honestly, I was very disappointed. The product promises to straighten the hair and make it manageable, but in my case, it did none of that. Poor results: My hair didn’t get straight or smooth; instead, it felt heavy and frizzy.

I love everything about this product. It will pull your color but the maker tells you that up front. My hairdresser applied it for me the first time but did it myself the next. It was easy! My hair is soft and smooth, no frizz. Also it lasted me a good three months. I had my roots done about a week after the treatment and the smoothing stayed.
