There were a lot of dogs who came into the clinics I worked in who were on these chews and said they really helped. The instructions on the container do say to give in a few weeks to start seeing any results so he is right in track to heal his poor itchy toe beans! A: one of my dogs has severe skin allergies, getting worse as she ages. for a few years these were enough but last summer her back half was close to bald when the vet finally put her on apoquel. we took the one prescription and then just the bites over winter. i was hoping they would get us into summer but by april she was starting to lose hair again so back on the apoquel til fall really kicks in. i hide the apoquel in peanut butter and 2 of these like a cookie sandwich :)

A: "The fiber hairs are actually lamb meal. Meat is fibrous so often when using proteins in our products they will have a string-like look to them."  This is from the company as in the next comment.  I hope the company does not change the formula, because this is so effective on my dog.  She finally has relief.  I trust that they are not adding hairs or plastic to their recipe. I recommend that anyone with an itchy/allergy ridden dog...give it a try.
