NOV 2025 UPDATE: OK, seriously, this is the best toy EVER. My cat STILL absolutely loves this toy, almost 1.5yr later! This toy is on nearly 24/7 and when I have to actually turn it off to change batteries, she gets quite irritated with me! Again, this toy is truly on close to 24/7, and we change batteries every 30-35 days, sometimes goes a bit longer. It's fantastic. It is great about being active for 5mins and going into standby. She quickly learned to give it a little tap with her paw to get it restarted. In the original review I mentioned the beep seeming loud - I suffer from sound sensitivity/misophonia so I am MUCH more aware of sounds... But honestly, after a few days I barely noticed it. Our space is similar to a studio apt, so it's near me all the time, it does startle or bother me, and has never woken me up (I'm SURE she has played with it overnight bc it's still on standby in the morning). The other thing that I had mentioned in the original review, and video, was my concern about having to replace the pieces for the whack-a-mole part of the toy. However, I had this again for almost 1.5 years and I've never had to even think about actually replacing them; my cat will still pull them out and chomp on them, but they're really quite durable. We recently were having a little bit of trouble with the toy, so I contacted customer service. I heard back in under 24 hours and they helped me immediately. My cat Gwen is thrilled to have her fav toy to play with again! So, not only is it a fantastic toy, but their customer service is fantastic as well! They truly, very clearly, value their customers, which isn't always so common nowadays. So, again, just as I did originally in June 2024, I highly recommend this toy. It is something that helps keep my kitty occupied, and I also think in some way it soothes her. I have a couple of other products from this company, and she loves them as well. Definitely a great toy from a great company! (Note that the video attached is from June 2024. The pictures are Nov 2025.) Original Review (June 2024): I adopted Gwendalyn, who is just over a year old, about a month ago. So, she's still getting adjusted to some extent and has a LOT of energy. I have lots of toys for her but she doesn't really seem to know how to play by herself. Which during the day is fine, but at 3am it's rough! So, I looked into interactive toys. Gwen loves her string toys and hunting for toys, so this toy seemed perfect! And it really is. She loves it!! So much so that if she hears the beep from me turning it off, she comes running and whining. So, while I'd originally only intended to have it available to her overnight, it's now a 24/7 toy. You need 4 AA batteries, which I'm fine with, but know it's not a chargeable toy. There is a cord that you can use to plug into the wall, but then the toy has to be by a wall/outlet. Modes are nice, 4 different options. It is good about going into standby after 5mins and shutting off 2hrs later (if toy activated from standby, everything resets time wise). It doesn't really stay put on hardwood floors, which I why I set it on basic grippy shelf liner, which works fine. Only complaints I have are that when toy is reactivated, it beeps a bit loudly (especially if at night and in your room). Not sure why felt need to have it beep for that, as you can hear the toy going, though toy not as loud as the beep). Also, for some reason, when it switches modes, goes into standby, or even turns off, the whack-a-mole piece sometimes stays sticking out. I learned that when I heard, then saw, my cat carrying/dragging the toy across the room with holding that piece in her mouth. It would be nice if it always finished inside the toy. Doubly nice would be if it locked (or something) in place inside, as I now can't use the feather or the floofy feathery strand thingie bc she can very easy dig them out, and will chew and carry the toy using them way more than with just the worm piece. My last issue relates to those whack-a-mole pieces. So, we can only really use the "worm" piece, which is fine as she loves it and she's better with it. But, if I need to replace it, I have to buy a pack that's 2 worms, 2 feathers, and 2 floofy things for around $10...when I will only be able to use 2 of the 6 items. I wish could get individual types so I'm not wasting money. Gripes aside, this toy really is great and at a good price too. Gwen truly loves it and finds it fun and soothing, so that makes me love it. I definitely recommend.

UPDATE: Jun 5, 2023 For durability, I have to give this toy a 1,000-STAR Rating, my cats have dragged this toy all over the house playing with it, they have turned it upside down, pounced on it with full force and this toy has suffered NO DAMAGE whatsoever! First cat toy that seems very impervious to cat's very aggressive behaviors! I have found this toy in one of our 2 bathrooms, in our bedroom under the bed, all over the living room and kitchen/dinging room area. And it hasn't stopped working, even with being dragged, bumped, knocked, turned upside down (while still operating). I am very impressed with how this 3-in-1 cat toy has held up to my cat's abuse of it, and still working. This is one toy I can feel very confident in and has definitely been manufactured very well with a cat's aggressive behavior in mind, definitely would recommend this Potaroma cat toy. Just make sure you buy replacement parts, as cats will murder the feathers and butterflies in about 2 to 3 days, sometimes they may kill one in a day, but most have lasted about 3 days before a replacement is needed, sometimes longer. I just repurchased the second set of replacements for mine and got them in one day, as I had already gone through my first set of replacement toys I purchased at the same time I purchased the main toy, I purchased both replacements, the butterflies and the feathers, each type sold separately. My only small complaint is the one feather that comes with the butterflies, it doesn't have the same type of wire, there is no coiled spring near the bottom of the wire, so it gets bent out of shape much easier than the butterflies do, which makes it a little more difficult to straighten out when the cats bend it to the ground. The coiled wires are a bit better, but I think if the coiled section were a slight bit longer and maybe a little closer to where the wire comes out of the base, then it wouldn't bend over as easily, but like stated, to me, that's a very minor issue. As for battery duration, as stated in my original review I use Amazon Rechargeable batteries for all my devices, and these have held up extremely well in this particular "motorized" cat toy, I keep a spare set recharged for when I need to change the batteries out, and most often they get changed out after 24 hours of use, as my cats play with this toy constantly, it doesn't get much resting time with the number of cats I have activating it, and playing with it. Regular alkaline batteries would have been dead in just a few hours of playtime, so, again, I definitely would recommend the Amazon AA Rechargeable Batteries for this toy, I use the 850mAh in my devices, and they have never let me down yet. I have been using them for a couple of years now, and they have outlasted any other battery, as well as any name brand rechargeable batteries I have used and that have never lasted as long, or as reliable in my devices, unlike the Amazon Rechargeable batteries, they have outperformed and outlasted them all, and I've used a lot of name brand rechargeables over the years, none have even come close to the satisfaction I get from Amazons Rechargeable Batteries! My cats are very happy with this toy and is one of only TWO toys they use every single day and multiple times a day. The only other toy they use daily is a 5 way cat tunnel I bought for them, and yes, I have even found the 3-in-1 toy dragged inside the tunnel toy too. They also love to hide in the tunnel and jump out at the 3-in-1 toy while it's in action. So, if you want an excellent cat toy that is truly durable, this Potaroma 3-in-1 cat toy will do very nicely. I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND this toy as one of the best cat toys out there. BTW: the toy is also very quiet when in operation, it does make some clicking sounds as the feather peeks in and out of the chamber at the bottom, but it's not loud enough to really disturb anyone, that this may depend on the individual. I just know for my wife and I, the clicking isn't all that noticeable, plus when we do hear it, we know the cats are playing with their toy again. :) ========================== END JUNE 5, 2023 UPDATE - Original Review Below =============== DISLIKES: None, just don't know why it is asking for a rating on Suction and Motion Detection, as this toy doesn't have those options, and why I rated those as 1-Star. Likes: At first all, but one of my 3-month-old kittens were hesitant to approach the toy, I have 3 males and 1 female, one male is *ALWAYS* the first to check out any new cat toy, if he plays with it, the others usually follow suit in a very short time, his name is Winterfrost, and he GETS INTO EVERYTHING! LOL My wife did take some video of them playing with the toy on her cell phone, if I can figure out how to get it to my computer, I'll upload it as soon as I can. The other 3 sat and watched, then the other 2 males, named Goldstar and Ezekiel joined in shortly after they saw how much fun Winterfrost was having chasing the butterfly, batting at the balls, and catching the feather, but the lone female (Serena) would still skirt around them and jump out of their way, still unsure about the toy. Eventually, she saw how much fun her brothers were having with it and finally joined in the play, then momma (Lily Blossom) got into the act with her kittens. It arrived somewhere near 2pm, I believe, and they have been playing with it NON-STOP since they got it! It's now almost 5pm, and they are still working on it, although I had to go on a hunt and destroy mission to find the butterfly that Serena (never expected her to be the first one) had managed to get completely off the toy! Winterfrost is who I figured would be the first to get the butterfly off the toy. ROFL I buy and use Amazon Rechargeable AA batteries, and after 3 hours of non-stop action, they are still going strong in the toy, most standard or even alkaline batteries DO NOT hold up nearly this long in a "motorized" for this type of duration. So, I would definitely recommend you buy Amazon AA Rechargeable Batteries for this cat toy, they hold up far longer than any standard battery, I've been using the Amazon AA and AAA rechargeables in many of my cat toys that require batteries, and I have not been disappointed with their performance in such hard, long use, especially in the motorized cat toys! Well worth investing in them, just make sure you get a good charger, one that can handle multiple batteries, I have a 10 Battery Charger for them. And it can also charge 2 9V batteries at the same time, which I have some remote controlled cat toys that use a 9V battery, and I use the in everything battery operated. I can highly recommend this cat toy, even my outdoor cats that come inside under inclement weather or just when they want to come in love this toy, and these cats age in range from 8–11 years old, and even they enjoyed it when the kittens would give them a chance at it! ROFL Oh, and by the way, folks have mistakenly said this toy will not let you have the butterfly and feather both work at the same time, perhaps older models may not, but the one I received has a little white pushbutton next to the switch, that button is for locking the feather in the out position, so it can be changed when damaged or missing from the cats aggressive play, but that button also serves another purpose (the owner's manual covers this), press once after selecting the slide switch position, this button is next to the slide switch, turn on the main switch from off to either feather or butterfly, then press and release the white button, this will turn on both the peek-a-boo feather and have the butterfly flittering around at the same time, but the slide switch must be in either of these two "ON" positions for the button to function, setting both toys in action. As I was writing this review, my cats are finally worn out from all the play and are just resting, but they refuse to go far away from their new toy, and they figured out how to activate it and keep it going for the entertainment, as it never shut off after the 4-minute timer would have run out. I've purchased other types of cat animated toys, laser toys that do things, but this one has to be my kittens and cat's all-time favorite toy, they have NEVER spent 3 hours playing with a single toy before, usually 15–20 minutes, and they're done, this one got a nice 3-hour workout with them right after I got it! Seems to be very durable, even though my cats were dragging it around when they would catch the butterfly and hold it down, playing keep away from the other kittens and cats that wanted it. I had just as much enjoyment watching them take to, then play with this toy for such a long period of time, so unlike most cats, but then I've heard people comment I have some strange and unique cats. ROFLMBO Again, I definitely can recommend this cat toy, and I highly recommend Amazon Rechargeable Batteries for it. Believe it or not, but I have had much longer run times and play time with cat toys with Amazon brand Rechargeable batteries over any other brand of rechargeable, Amazon's Rechargeable batteries surpassed every other "name brand" rechargeable battery I have ever bought, and why I will continue to buy Amazon Rechargeable batteries for all my battery powered cat toys and other battery powered devices. Sure beats having to go out and buy replacement batteries every time they go dead, and I always keep a spare set charged so their playtime is not disrupted for very long! I hope your purr babies enjoy this toy as much as my cats are. This has to be the very best toy I ever bought them. I'd give this toy 100-Stars if I could!

Best $25 ever spent. My kittens absolutely love this toy and it keeps them very entertained. It’s censored so it will shut off after inactivity and turn right back on when they touch it. My vet friends also loved it so much that they asked me for the link!

We've been using this toy for about 9 months at the time of this review and my cat loves this toy...as well as my now 1 year old child lol. It has taken quite a beating where it has been dragged, tossed around, pulled on, drooled on, and of course swatted at (we use the battery option btw). Both my cat and kid love messing with it and it does keep both entertained for a while. Both will also come back and play with it at least once a day. Aside from the wire from the butterfly toy getting bent after a while, it has held out to the abuse pretty well. However, it hasn't had any issues until I had to change out the butterfly (it comes with a set of replacements for the feather and butterfly). Changing the feather was easy, but the butterfly replacement wouldn't snap into place, and when I tried to put the original one back on, it just doesn't spin as well as before. I'm not sure if it's "user error," but the instructions literally say pull out the old, snap new one into place, and push down...all which is did so I'm not quite sure what the issue is. There is a little notch it's supposed to fit into, otherwise it'll come off at the slightest touch, but Before my kid and cat could pull on it for days and it wouldn't come off, now both just need to tug a little and it comes off no problem. I regret doing th4 change but I thought it would be nice to change out the toys since they were getting pretty worn. Battery wise, it'd last about a week with daily use for about 2 to 3 hours a day (there is an auto shut off, but when we first got it, it didn't shut off for a few days lol). With daily, occasional use (about 30 minutes a day), it lasts at least a couple weeks. I wouldn't necessarily say it's loud, but it is noticeable.but, if you can tune out a TV, you can probably tune out the toy after a while, but I wouldn't suggest keeping it in a bedroom, particularly if you're a light sleeper. We have a 2 stroy house and keep ours in the living room area since it keeps out cat busy at night; our bedrooms are upstairs and we don't hear it there. Overall, it's a good toy, and I'll probably get another one at some point, but be careful when using the replacements. Not sure if it's me, my particular unit, or the toy in general where ssue lies with the butterfly replacement, but I'll definitely be reluctant to replace the butterfly if I get another unit.

My 4 month old kitten LOVES this! As soon as I set it up she has been playing with all three features for hours. The standby mode has been amazing in keeping her happy and entertained throughout the day. Only thing I was confused about was the toy coming with a USB cord, but I couldn’t find an outlet. Thankfully batteries are always on hand, so no worries there. Would definitely recommend!

I have 4 cats, so I thought this would entertain them all together. My first thought was "I wasted my money." Cuz my cats just watched it and didn't actually play with it for almost an hour. Then all 4 cats showed interest. My 9 year old and 1 year old females played with it briefly. The 1 year old prefers to just watch it while the boys played with it. My 8 year old male and 1 year old male sat watching and playing with it for almost 2hrs. My 8 year old male is obsessed with it more than any of the others. And he is the one who usually hides and is scared of everything. This toy got him to engage and come out of the basement more often. It was definitely worth the purchase for me! It took 4 long AA batteries. If you click the power button once, just the feathers pop in and out of the holes. If you click the button again, the butterfly twirls around and the feathers pop in and out. My 1 year old female loves the feathers popping in and out. Both boys love the fluttery butterfly more. My 9 year old female hasn't engaged with it very much. It shuts itself off for a minute or so, then turns itself back on for a while. It's light weight and easy to move around. Seems decent quality. I haven't had it very long to know the longevity of its use. But the cats love it so far.

My cats love this toy and the battery lasts a long time! I'm in Florida and visit family in Wisconsin. I periodically check in on my fur babies (via webcam) and if not sleeping/eating they are on this. It has a sensor built in, when they stop using it for awhile it turns off. If they start batting at it, it turns on. Perfect! After about 4 days away, the battery still works! Puts me at ease they are entertained while momma is gone!

I bought the teal one first and my cat loved it. The first problem I have with this toy is that it only comes with an extra "feather" if you can call it a feather, it's more like a climp of material. It is nothing like the original feather. The BIG problem I have is that the company does not carry extra feathers for the green toy or the white toy. I have searched everywhere and even called the company, no feathers extra feathers without the toy, so you literally have to replace the whole toy just for a new feather. My green one is wearing out so I bought the white one. It does not work properly. The other two playing options, besides the feather in the base coming out, don't work properly. The feather does come out alternating locations but it is very slow moving and the cat gets tired of the game quickly. It's very sad because when it works properly and had a real feather my cat really loved it. However, I don't want to buy the whole toy again, which is wonderful, because the company it too cheap to have replacement feathers available. If they did, I would definitely buy the whole toy again when it wore out.

Incroyable, j’ai jamais vu mes chats autant s’amusées avec un jeu je pensait pas que ça fonctionnerait si bien ! Le seul truc qui me fait peur c’est la durée dans le temps du petit papillon et du petits truc en plume qui sort des trous, je vois comment mes chats le mordillent et l’attrape et j’ai peur qu’à force elles réussissent à le casser, mais évidement ça faudra voir dans le futur !! :)

Het is echt het leukste speeltje ooit. Mijn poezen zijn er al dagenlang uren mee aan het spelen, ik was een beetje sceptisch omdat ik het merk niet kende, maar het is een schot in de roos. In vorige reviews las ik dat het veel lawaai maakt maar dat vind ik persoonlijk niet en ik heb zeer angstige poezen. Ik ga zeker meer van dat merk kopen.

En av mina katter tyckte den var rolig den andra unviker den. Problem en av tussarna som kommer ut på sidan låg lös i kartongen. Hur i hela friden ska man fästa den igen ?? Står inget i bruksanvisningen 😳 Aaa det var en reservdel men var får jag tag på reservdel fjäril ? Min katt leker ganska hårdhänt med den men annars positivt 👍

Eine unserer mittlerweile spielfaulen Katzen liebt das Ding! Es ist oft im Einsatz. Sauber verarbeitet und schnell geliefert. Auch das Baby hat seine Freude damit haha.
