Read Before You Buy
This is a proven weatherstrip deriving from the thin spring strips that were used for eons on double hung wood windows. That said, it is not for every application. Before you buy consider: - this is meant for small gaps, 1/8-1/4"+- - prepare surface by washing with diluted dishwashing liquid, rinsing/drying and wiping with rubbing alcohol - prime paint bare wood, let dry/cure completely - avoid applying over loose paint or irregular surfaces - best to apply in warm weather, 60* plus - place loosened roll in "warm" (not hot) location such as sunny window to help relax - anticipate which way to position the fold so as not to crimp when opening/closing doors/windows - try a small 'test area' first - expose only a portion of tape adhesive and then more as applying - apply pressure with wooden, plastic or rolling tool after install to insure adhesion - anticipate that the material will wear in moving installations like windows/doors - anticipate that vinyl will degrade over,10+- years of sun exposure. - reduces drafts but does not insulate pe se - anticipate that surface finish may pull away when removing tape This is not a forgiving tape for re-applying. Get it right the first time. Twisting or turning the material while installing can lead to puckers. The strip can be set inside a corner against a stop or on the outside of the opening against the edge. Inside hides the strip better, but you cannot be sure it is operating properly' I prefer to set it on the outside edge where I can see if the gap is closed, but it does show more when the door or window is open. Tip: Make a 1/2' marking gauge and mark off reference lines from the edge every foot. The open tape will otherwise hide the door or window edge, so set the tape to touch the reference marks, not the edge.

Very effective at preventing drafts
I was skeptical because I have tried a ton of products on my very old apartment windows, which has some sizeable gaps. This was super simple to apply...just clean the window seal with alcohol, peel, and stick! The sticky is very strong...I thought I would be able to adjust it but didnt want to break the seal once I saw how well it adhered. The next windy day we had, I could not feel any drafts! And this was by far the cheapest of all the products I've tried. I would give 10 stars if I could.

good for small gaps in a variety of doors
Some gaps are small and don't require rubber or similar weatherstripping. We had gaps in sliding and regular doors that were blocked by this weather strip. You could feel cool air. The furnace stayed on more. It's a clever design and saved us $$ on fuel. Make sure you clean the surfaces and understand which way to install for smooth door closure. Maybe try a small sample to figure this out.

Frost King M13WH V-Seal Weather-Strip 7/8-Inch by 17-Feet White work so much better.
I've tried all kinds of foam and rubber, and this version of weather strip seem to work better than any of the others. First of all, the adhesive just don't do the trick but if you use a common office type stapler, the adhesive doesn't matter anymore. You really have to know the correct positioning as well. See the bag or visit the web site for assistance on this.

Great product but Adhesive on the wrong side of the V- Wasted more money to fix it!!
Purchased to seal gap between the door and frame. Great product concept and was very easy to install. However the product did a poor job of sealing the gap. The V seal had a weak spring back force when compressed and after few door shut-open trials, the V seal hardly had much spring back to seal the door gap. That is when I realized that the factory applied double sided adhesive was installed on the wrong side. Luckily I had installed the V seal on just one side of the door frame and not the entire door. I still had to spent next hour removing the seal and the glue off the face of the V Seal. Had to spend more money to buy a .38 in wide double sided tape to apply the tape on the right side of the V seal. This fixed the issue- now I had two more door to do so not looking forward to it. Anyway here is the tip: Before installing the V seal, fold and check both side to see which of the two has the best spring back- if you are lucky it will be on the right side.

Seems thinner than I remember
This in the past was an item that was my "go to" weatherization tape. It never seemed to fail me. What I received today however I have my doubts about. It went on easy enough, as for adhesion, it is to early to tell as this type of tape usually requires a bit of time to fully adhere. My biggest concern is the thinness of this tape. It seems much thinner than in the past and when you fold it in half to form the "V" it does not seem to spring back or hold its shape. After installation between the door and the door stop I stepped back and took a look and saw that the tape was very wavy and not in full contact with all points of the door. Whether this is do to the thinness or a different type of plastic than in the past, I can only guess.

This really works
When this was delivered this morning, I thanked the UPS driver and opened it up. My first reactions was "It's so flimsy and there's nothing much to it." But I've already tried 3 other products without success. So I took a deep breath and read the instructions. Sounded pretty easy. We'll see. I correctly attached it on the leaky door frame, adding a bit of duct tape here and there so make it hold. And I shut the door. OMG, I don't feel the cold air anymore. i really do NOT. I am amazed. Now I won't have to wear extra socks all the time. I never would have guessed that something that looked like it would be borderline useless would work to stop the cold air. Leave it to Frost King. They make good stuff. I know some other reviewers didn't like this item, but I found it to finally solve my problem. Recommended.

Retrofit with ease.

Good in concept and I can see how it's work. My issue is, because it was rolled right and that the tape is stiff, the roll leaves the seal with waviness that reduces its ability to seal. If it was softer or wasn't wound as tight, it would seal better. On a few windows the adhesive was poor as well.
