I normally leave the ceiling light or the over sink light on at night which use more electricity. I now turn those lights off and just with the wave of my hand these lights come on under the cabinets. The installation was very easy and works just as the instructions state. I would like to have had a few more of the wire clips to hide the wires under the cabinets but I was able to make it work. As stated in the overview these also dim with a hand motion. Once you get used to recalling where the sensor is located they generally perform on the first try every time. The product summary pretty much tells you everything you need to know. For installation you want to be sure that you think carefully about where the bar with the sensor goes as it needs to be close to the outlet and then every bar after that connects to the bar with the sensor. I hooked them together to test them before installation just to be sure they worked before I installed them. Anyone should be able to install them but think carefully about how you are going to hide the wire "before you stick them to the underside of the cabinet." I laid them out on the countertop and thought through exactly how to route the wires before I stuck the first one to the underside. I used both the 3M sticky tape and then inserted and screwed the screws into to the underside of the cabinet just as double protection from falling. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works perfectly and we LOVE it! *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2018* Purchased this in Dec. 2017 - so almost a year ago. I installed this by exposing only a little of the adhesive foam tape in case I didn't like it or it didn't really work. That way I could easily remove it. We liked this so much I immediately came back and ordered the larger set to do the rest of my cabinets - again only exposing small portions of the adhesive so it would be removable. Well, after 6 months the weight of the light bars started pulling the adhesive spots down so I took it all off (thank God I didn't use the full adhesive foam strips because then I would NEVER have been able to get them off) repositioned them and then we actually screwed these under the cabinets. Yes, we love them enough to have them permanently installed. Wish I had found them years ago!If you've always wanted under the cabinet lighting but didn't want the expense of hiring an electrician, this is for you. A few caveats: you MUST install the one marked something like "use this first" because it is the controller and needs to be the one that gets plugged in; along with that, be aware that you will be permanently giving up one of your electrical plug in spots. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bright light, solid construction, high quality *by B***0 on Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2021* This worked well for me. I use several of these lights, albeit in shorter versions. All of them are extremely bright with good color temperature and the light is well diffused. So when I got a 46" toolbox I bought this to light up the work top. I like the solid construction, and low-profile. I never trust the adhesive strips alone for anything and I used the screws with this unit as well, but that said the included adhesive strip is high quality real 3M stuff and sticks very well. The unit is well laid out, and I like the variety of cords and accessories for it. I gave 4 stars because I expected this to be brighter. Please understand it is very bright, but based on my admittedly subjective experience with how bright the shorter lights are, I expected this to be a little brighter than it is. Still its a good bright light for tasks. Also at this price point I would have expected it to include the motion sensor that all of my other lights have. It isn't included and I see that from the description, but I wish this one had it. For those folks that don't have these lights, the built-in motion sensor is awesome. It has a short enough range that it doesn't give any false responses when working under it, but it still allows you to be far enough away that it is easy to use and it is extremely responsive. The ability to dim and brighten without touching is very handy.
