Best Controller For Nintendo Switch Period
Just bought a new OLED Switch mainly for playing on the TV (my son already owned a Switch Lite) and all I can say is WOW! Been gaming for decades and I have to say, this has got to be the absolute best controller I have ever bought so far. You can tell the first time you touch it it's amazing and super high quality. Had no problem connecting to my Switch, I did enable the pro controller wired communication in the Switch settings first as a commenter suggested, don't know if that made a difference or not. It connected no problem first time. I've only played with it one night and so far no connection issues. The charging base and built in batteries mean no fiddling with changing power cells, just pick up the controller and play, put it back on the charger when done. Seemed a bit pricey at first but this really is a case (and it pains me to say it) of "You get what you pay for" which isn't always true. If you own a Switch and are looking for a good wireless game pad I would say this IS the controller. Folks say it's better then the Licensed Pro Controller which I haven't handled, but I can't see anything being better than this 8Bitdo at least in the case of the Switch. Best part, it is both Bluetooth AND 2.4Ghz Wireless (coming with a dongle for 2.4Ghz) via a switch on the backside of the controller making is great for PC as well. Motion controls feel the same as those on the Joycons. Got the white one to match my Switch, my setup looks amazing with the Switch in the cradle and the controller next to it on the charging stand. This was a great purchase.

The best switch controller I ever used
Up until last night, I only used a PowerA enhanced controller. I heard everyone talking about this controller and I tried it. There is no going back. Back buttons, hall sensing joysticks, a charging dock, even being mobile and pc compatible. The price may be steep but it is 99 percent worth it. A PowerA enhanced controller is a good alternative but this game is perfect. A Sharp d pad for games like River City Girls and a two sided trigger for games like Metroid prime. Just buy this controller even if you don’t have a switch you should get it

Easily 8Bitdo's Best Controller Ever Made
Been using this controller on Windows 10. Another person mentioned the Switch waking experience, which is fair, and is a more representative review of the Switch experience. For Windows 10, this controller is incredible. What a great idea, to have the dongle in the back of the charging dock built in. Its so clean, and the charging dock is the most premium I've ever owned honestly (it holds the controller in place via a soft magnet and the white glow at the bottom of the dock looks so sleek!).I have experienced zero input delay when using this 2.4 GHz dock connected to my PC, and the controller automatically powers down when placed in the dock, and when picked up automatically reconnects to your PC without pressing a button. This works flawlessly and sounds minor, but on top of the controller itself being solid it makes the whole PC Users Experience amazing, especially if you're used to using Xbox controllers which aren't always reliable via Bluetooth. The controller itself is solid. Its not as big and thick as an Xbox or Dualsense controller, but another review mentioned it being too small and I just dont agree with that, at least for most people. Its definitely bigger than a dualshock 4, and people have been using those for nearly a decade with no issue. The thumbsticks are the best on any controller, full stop, and you feel it right away. Only thing Ive tried that may be better are the steam deck analog sticks, but other than that nothing comes close. I have not personally had issues with the D Pad yet, the triggers are fine, I actually really like the course texture in the back for extra grip, and the 8Bitdo software customization has worked seamlessly for me so far in mapping button inputs to the back paddles. Also, this controller is detected as X Input, meaning the PC will think its an Xbox layout controller, but it has the button layout of a Switch Pro controller. This can be corrected in software to use the button letters labeled on the controller if this bothers you.Overall, this is probably the best PC wireless controller on the market. 8bitdo did not pay me, I often do not like their other controllers for a variety of reasons lol (stick layout, small size, retro-focused, etc). This is just a fantastic device for PC Users. If anything I said sounds appealing to you, then know that is what you're getting with this device. The only possible "improvement" I could ask for with the controller is maybe the trigger feel, and maybe the overall grip feel, just because the dualsense is better in both those regards (and is also funded by a much larger R&D entity). But that is me really nitpicking since I would still give both those attributes a great score.Love this controller, hope it lasts me for many years
