A: It does stay cool.

A: I would assume so although I have used it in the pot I boiled the potatoes in, a Teflon one.

A: 4in get it you will like it.

**Q: Made in?**
A: I'm not sure, but it's the best potato masher I've ever used.
It's great for deep pots.
