I have this light in a 20 gallon tall hex tank. I had to 3d print some little adapters so it would stick on the lid. When I first got it I had a very basic all plastic plants, fake decor tank. When I would turn the daylight mode all the way up, it was ridiculously bright- it looked like a doctors office. I thought how could anyone need this? But once I re-did my tank and made it all natural with plenty of plants and rocks and sand, the light is perfect. My plants are happy. I enjoy the blue/aqua mode too, it is a good night time vibe.

The instructions are a bit confusing but once we figured it out I really like the 24 hour setting on this light. Turns itself off and on while imitating sunrise and sunset lighting effects.

Works great! 24 hour setting is a little tricky to figure out but once it’s set it’s awesome! Definitely going to buy another one for my next terrarium project

24/7 mode is a good feature but it has a limitation. It automatically configures the light to be on for 15 hours per day at 100% intensity. The problem is that it can’t be adjusted to any different setting while operating in this mode. In addition, the instructions aren’t very clear for setting up the 24/7 mode. So I’ve been using the DIY mode instead since I wanted 12 hours per day at 75% intensity instead and setup is more straightforward. Other than this limitation it works great so far and I really like the thin sleek design. Hopefully it keeps working a long time. UPDATE: After about six months the light started malfunctioning. It would start flashing on and off intermittently after being turned on for a few hours. I was thinking that the issue might be heat or power related since it wouldn’t occur if the light intensity was reduced. However, after a few weeks even reducing light intensity didn’t help. I tried replacing the AC power adapter with an equivalent one but that didn’t resolve things. So I’ve since replaced the whole light fixture with a similar one but different brand.

Great purchase! Excellent light for plant life,the variety colors makes amazing fish tank view, I love the 24-7 timer for my live plants anf imitating the real sun schedule from sunrise light orange,Dark orange to Red to all day full spectrum to sunset full spectrum starts to dim and then turns to blue for over an hour then turns off. This is my first aquarium light with LEDs. It is very nice quality and the controller is really cool. I really enjoy trying the different colors. The numbers on the controller are super tiny and it is hard to see the options that are not selected because they are not lit. So I came back to its Amazon page and took a screen shot of a zoom-in on a color photo of it, for quick reference. Eventually you will learn all the options so it is no big deal, and I like the tiny size of the controller, so this is a good trade-off. Also, I debated between this and their older model and I am glad I got this one. I like that it has aluminum casing instead of ABS (although I have not felt it get hot -- then again I don't like to have it full-spectrum brightest). Also, I like the design of the controller and having more options. I will cut a strip of black paper to put in front of it to block my sight between the glass lid and the lamp, so I won't see the reflection of the LEDs on my glass lid if I'm not perfectly straight in front of it (as opposed to above or bellow, because then you can see either the LEDs or their reflection). This should be an easy fix, and then it will be perfect.

It us very difficult to read the tiny indicators on the controller. As such, going back and forth with the instructions is not intuitive at all; there are many multiple choices that do not seem to confirm what you think are the settings you're choosing. For this aspect alone, I give it a poor one 🌟 rating. Time will tell if I chose the settings correctly for my use. Otherwise, the light functions and makes everything bright and pretty. Just be warned, the selections are not for the far sighted or faint of heart. LOL

Ease to use, led brigtness gives it that’s clear look, quality is great, just to adjust the different color lights

The lighting is beautiful and it works great. I love how when it’s on the timer mode. The light will slow slowly get brighter and then it will slow slowly dim down at the end of the time.

It's proves the worth of money, I invested in.
