I went to multiple plumbing suppliers and they didn’t know what the thread was. The last one told me to use a o-ring or gasket because it was bottoming out. I ordered a kit with multiple sizes of o-rings and gaskets. The o-ring stopped it from leaking. I think the gasket would work better but the arrived after I installed the o-ring. **Q: Do you recommend pressure regulator?** A: Don’t need one. You can adjust pressure on auto valve **Q: The pump’s in my garage boosting. It’s sweating a lot around chrome intake. Can I wrap this with insulation? What about in NY winters?** A: Mine did the same in my garage. I wrapped it with a towel and duct tape and it stopped dripping. I would worry if you have it outside during the winter. May want to invest is a cover and put an incodescent lght bulb in with the pump. Pipe threads in pump are not tapered threads causing leaks at fittings to pump. 1-inch threads on regulator are not standard and fitting on hose adapter hard to thread together. Must use excessive pipe tape and pipe dope to attempt to seal. What happened to the days of Union made USA quality products. Also, Customer Support is nonexistent.
