EASY PEASY (HARD SUGAR)
The people in the reviews complaining, are clearly the 1 percent that just don't get it. Because this couldn't be any easier and it indeed was my first time EVER doing it. It was lowkey addicting lol. Tips: Shower and exfoliate area with exfoliator glove, completely dry off and if needed apply some numbing cream to area + take Pain meds. After about 30 minutes dry area completely off again and apply setting powder instead of baby powder. YES setting lol... ALL these steps made for an easy application and clear pull of hair with limited pain. The best area to test out your sugaring skills, is on your arm or leg. That way you can get your technique down. Then move on to the bigger more sensitive areas once perfected. Pros: A ton of product for your buck Worked well and each glob lasted for many pulls pretty simple and not as painful as traditional hard or hot wax Cons: Hard, is a tad difficult to get out if you dont zap it for a couple of seconds.

Better than other brands
I use sugaring compound for my own home hair removal. This brand is the one I would fully recommend, especially to inexperienced users. It is truly 'hard', getting it out of the container without warming it up is almost impossible. But once you have your ball, it will go a long time, it doesn't break down, it doesn't get too warm and melt away or start sticking. It is really good at getting the whole hair and root so your don't have as bad of bumps afterwards. Some pointers if you struggle with it at first, the first couple of patches may need to be done a second time before it gets warmed up, you can also let it sit on the skin or sort of work your hand over it a bit if it feels like it's slipping against your skin when you are applying it. I've found both of those things result in fewer stragglers during the pulls.

It works
If I was a professional waxer I would probably give this 5 stars but I gave it 4 mostly because there are other waxing products that are easier to use. I used this with the intention of giving myself a full Brazilian wax but I had too much faith in my pain tolerance and couldn’t finish. That being said, the parts that I did wax were extremely soft, my hair follicles did not get clogged, and I didn’t break out the next day. I will continue to use this product for my bikini area but leave the full Brazilian to the professionals. Pros: -extremely sticky, works well removing hair -lasts a long time -good ingredients -residue comes off with water since it’s basically just sugar and lemon juice Cons: -hard to get out of container -does not work on fine hairs TLDR: good for coarse hair in areas that are not too painful to wax yourself. Slight learning curve but effective product nonetheless

Must-Have Product for me now!
- I’m 2/3 of the way through my first container, and I’ve already ordered two more. I’ll be keeping this product stocked up at home from now on! I’ve been getting sugared for years, and my usual sugar studio is closed due to quarantine. I hate shaving so I’m glad I found great quality sugar paste on Amazon. Now I can do it myself and get professional results at home. - If you’ve been getting sugared for a while, I’m sure you’ve picked up on the technique. Whether or not you’ve been getting it done, do your research (I looked to YouTube and the Instagram pages of a few sugarists and sugar studios). There is definitely some trial and error involved but it is WORTH IT! - Make sure your skin is clean and dry. Use baby powder and reapply if needed to keep your skin dry or the sugar won’t stick to your hair. I’m only using this on myself so I don’t use gloves (I tried but I couldn’t keep good control of the sugar with gloves on, they may have been too loose). After a while (more so if it is especially warm in the room), the piece of sugar you’re using will start to melt down and become difficult to pull from your skin (it is best to work in a cold room). When that starts to happen, just thrown it away and grab a fresh piece from the container. If you try to continue using the same piece, it’ll get completely stuck and you may have to wash it off before you can continue sugaring that area. I find that I can usually use the medium paste straight from the container (no warming needed), but if it’s too solid (brand new container, cold room, hard sugar formula), I use a standard wax warmer on the lowest setting to soften it. If you don’t own a wax warmer, let the jar sit in hot water to soften the sugar (I don’t recommend putting it in the microwave). Shower after and you’re good to go. Make sure you keep up with exfoliating and moisturizing to prevent ingrown hairs. - Overall excellent product that I will continue to repurchase

My new mortal enemy
I was really excited about this product! I've heard great things about sugar wax and I was looking for a new method of hair removal for *down there*. This sugaring paste wasn't it. I researched thoroughly the best way to go about using this wax, but it still ended up being a nightmare. It was painful (granted, this did not surprise me), messy and sticky, and ultimately ended up damaging my hair follicles. Despite the fact that I waxed in the recommended motion and followed all instructions, apparently this product caused me to rip the hairs off at the root instead of pulling out the entire follicle. This led to severe folliculitis (look it up if you're brave) for two weeks in my nether regions that has left fairly ugly scars. So that's cool. Additionally, and this is partially my fault, I thought this product would be safe to store in one of my drawers if I reattached the lid. It must have gotten knocked over at some point because half of the remaining tub of wax leaked and hardened in the bottom of my cosmetics drawer even though the lid was sealed. It was awful to clean up and involved a ton of time and stickiness to salvage my products that were coated in the stuff. I ended up throwing what little wax remained straight into the trash. I really wanted this product to be a game changer! And maybe you'll be able to use it with zero problems. But those with sensitive skin, beware. And don't store it anywhere you aren't willing to scoop hardened wax from later. TLDR; After a painful wax, this caused me to have folliculitis when the hair grew back. And it spilled all through one of my drawers, despite me reattaching the lid.

Shipping time outrageous
The product itself is great! It works as it should. works for my legs and bikini area. I can not do my own armpits. However the shipping through Amazon is disgraceful. I ordered on June 6th. They gave me an estimated shipping date of the 12-16. Today is the 16th… and it still hasn’t shipped, and now the estimate says 12-17th. And it says we don’t know when or if this product will be back in stock. So I tried to cancel my order. It’s saying they’re not sure if they can cancel my order because they sent the request for the seller to fulfill the order? So I am going to order this product directly through the website like I should have in the first place. I will be so mad if I get charged for it through Amazon. Absolutely unimpressed.

Overall good. Do your research first.
Tips: -Definitely watch YouTube sugar waxing videos before starting. -Use wax sticks to get the wax out. -Put the entire jar in warm water to make the wax more scoop-able. -Baby power is optional. I tried it with and without. About the same amount of energy and pain. -Dont wear gloves. They just stick to the gloves. Nylon, latex, whatever. Gloves sucked. -Always hold your skin/tug your skin. -When you pull. (I'm probably not explaining this correctly-pull, overlap, pull, overlap, pull rest off. The overlap stops the pain because of the pressure.) -After you pull, put the other hand on the spot and add pressure. -Eyebrows. Use the lighter wax. I tried it with this one. Ouchhhhh. But it still looks nice. Use cloth over wax and pull. Pros- It got everything. Even the baby hairs. I did even did everything from my eyebrows and down. Smooth. And washable. Not nearly as messy as wax because water fixes everything. Cons- Placing too much wax on one area and pulling it off all at once can cause bruising. This hurts for eyebrows. Maybe my eyebrows are sensitive.

Works well, gets easier with practice
I was a little skeptical buying this at first because I’d never tried sugar waxing. I’d tried hard waxing, and it was a disaster. My leg hair is ferocious and shaving is such a pain, so I figured I’d give it a go. The first time I got one leg done from the knee down and stopped. It was pretty time consuming and painful, and I wanted to compare it to the other leg anyway. Also: I used a clean plastic gift card because I saw online that a lot of people recommend using a tool like that and it worked so much easier than trying to do it with my hands. I also used baby powder, but not nearly enough. When the hair grew back in, it was so much finer and there wasn’t nearly as much. After that time I did both legs together and learned that more baby powder means that the hair gets pulled more easily and it hurts less. I just sugared for the third time and it’s gotten so much easier and less painful. I’ve ordered some plain pvc cards meant for making ID badges to use. Seriously, after getting used to it I’m going to keep it up. My legs are so much smoother and the hair takes quite a while to come back in. I shave in between sugaring because I’ll getting little hairs here and there, but it’s not a big deal if I don’t.
