Will these be good for using on fans that take 6 D batteries or should I go cheap?

My opinion would be to go with Amazon Basics Alkaline batteries. The 12 pack of D cells is $13.78. I find them to work just as well as name brand and never had an problem with them leaking. Are thes batteries wrapped 2 to a pack in plastic to remain fresh

I bought mine in December 2022 and they came in a box, not a 2-pack. Either way, I've always had them stay fresh.
