We don’t use it for ice but you can tell that’s what it’s made for. Not very big ice but ice. The metal is very thick so for ice it doesn’t matter if you are squeezing hard. We use it for serving chicken and it works well, you just need to be gentle. Good quality. It has held up well to washings in the dishwasher and food. It’s very sturdy.
