Compared to firesticks, this little box is super fast. I actually bought this for a friend and he runs it using a hotspot on his phone and it still has no buffering! Even though his signal is poor and only on 4G. I had no issues at all installing anything on it or with Netflix etc. Those complaining that speed drops on it, check to see if it's connected to 2.4G or 5G as it makes a huge difference. I tried it with the ethernet too and honestly couldn't notice the difference. Edit: I had to edit this as the second box I bought was of a much higher price than stated even though it was listed at the same price and no matter what I tried, I could not get it to install the latest version of Kodi or other apps. Every time it gave a no access error. My 5* has ben reduced to a 1* due to these issues and a lack of communication.

Having used many different types of this price range, this has proved to be the most unreliable. At first everything is spot on, fast, good pic, happy days (but they still come with a cheap and nasty HDMI lead so throw that in the bin) But have had a lot of these boxes returned with the same issue, box sticks on "BOOT" with no way to reset them. The device WILL fail on you, and you will NOT be able to reset the box when it is stuck on BOOT. The X96 Max Ultra is a far better box

In short, most of the reviews are way too technical, I choose this based on price and memory primarily. My firesticks had become too slow. out of the box easy to set up. Runs stock android so just pay attention when looking online for help. I've loaded Kodi 19.3 matrix with the crew build. Running great!! Installed 4 key apps that are my go to, again running really well. Do near in mind if u r a big Netflix fan this may not be for you. U won't get the pic quality and sound that is available on other devices, that said I'm more than happy. IPTV smarters installed with no issues. All in all its what I wanted at a great price, big improvement on a jail break firestick

Product is fast and does stream excellent on my TV. 4 Stars because I got some issues navigating and scrolling down on several applications. Be aware you cant install the official disney plus or netflix apps from Google store. You need to use older versions or alternative applications.

Brilliant works well

I bought this to replace the aps which were provided by my Samsung TV, but these have not been updated and gradually the aps have started to disappear. I wanted something which would connect via the network, as my network is slow, I didn't want to connect to it by wi-fi, that would make it slower still. It takes trial and error to do this as the thing defaults to using wi-fi but it is possible. The 'manual' bears little relation to the product. It does not come with of the standard aps, netflicks, iplayer etc. There is no explanation of the controls on the remote control, you just need to use it to figure them out! If you want a challenge, try adding subtitles! Yes it can be done. Much time has to be spend dragging the on screen remote control around the screen to press on an invisble point, which then appears! Presumably the makers didn't want to spend money adding more direct control buttons. It does come with 20-30 aps. None of which are know to me. (Except for Kodi) Somehow it must be possible to configure the default page, you can add things to it but it is impossible to delete them. I have checked that I am using the latest update to the firmware. There are 31 controls on the remote control. Some seem to do nothing. This compares with 42 on my samsung remote. If you look for reviews outside of Amazon, they are glowing! I really don't know why. Some mention that it just stops working. I haven't experienced this yet but i've only had it for about a week

I bought this as a replacement for a Fire Stick 4k and it has been a great purchase. It performs far better than the Fire Stick ever did, its much faster, better picture. I only wish I had gone for this instead of the Fire Stick in the first place.

This box is the most incapable box i have ever used it can not even play a movie file from a usb hard drive, And its not 4k its only displays 1080, its slow, hangs all the time, very few apps on paly store will work the live TV app is malware that you can not unstall i could go on and on but i think you understand what i am trying to say its trash DON'T BUY do yourself a favour and put the extra £20 and buy a Mecool or something or at brand at least.
