Eset Smart Security V.4.0, 3 User [Old Version]

I have used lots of Antivirus softwares over the years most of them I have paid for, a couple that were free. In the end I had troubles with all of them and or Windows XP. I upgraded to windows 7 and installed this ESET software and have not looked back. Been running this setup for a year and half now with no issues, hopefully I am not jinxing myself. Only complaint I could have about it is the parental controls are pretty strict with regards to the internet and blocks sights that I think should be allowed. But no issues with the Antivirus side.

Works well if you can get it to install. I can't seem to install it on any computer unless I wipe the drive and reinstall everything and I mean everything starting with the O/S. During install it will say there is an error and back itself out. Unfortunately it doesn't give any clue as to what the error is and I haven't found an install log or any thing like that. I followed all the instructions. It's not like I'm a rookie. I was a network admin for years and I currently repair network servers for a living. I've installed hundreds of programs. Anyway if you get it to install, it works well and so far it's not given me any more issues.

I got this product upon the recommendation of Leo the Tech guy. So far I haven't had any issues on my computer with viruses. The only concern I do have is that after a year or two, I'll have to renew my license? I would have expected, if you buy it, then you buy it *forever*.

This is about my 10th purchase of this product. I have used it on over a dozen computers and it has never failed me. It even removed a virus that was there before it was even installed and cleaned it immediately. Great product and woudl recommend everyone to use.

No virus problems after installing Eset Smart Security. It was recommended by an IT consultant at my work to use on my home computer.

I purchased this for use with a new OEM install of Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit. At the time Win 7 had only been released for 3 days. From reading the instructions at [...] I knew that I should download the latest version from them to install, rather than use the version on the install CD. The install went very smoothly. Because Win 7 was brand new, there were some initial problems with the firewall portion of the program and I could not use my desktop as a print server. I e-mailed tech support several times and always got a reply the next morning. The installation of a second generation firewall from ESET solved my problem. I also installed the program on two computers running XP sp-3 and these installations went very smoothly. The minimal use of system resources is truly fantastic. I did a full system scan and it only took 12 minutes.I realize that this program is a little more expensive than other programs that perform the same function, but it is well worth the extra money. My computer completely boots from pushing the button to fully functional (hard drive light goes off) in 56 seconds. I never had that with other internet security programs.I also installed this program on a Windows 7 (64 bit) computer and had no problems. Just remember, that if you download the latest version from ESET and you have a 64 bit application, be sure and download the 64 bit version.If there is a drawback, is the "ESET tag" that the program puts on the bottom of all e-mails. You can remove this tag if you go to the help screen for instructions.
