Excellent product and excellent customer support!
I was embarking on a new business project and this product was a major part of the process. It worked amazingly well, way better than other presses. However, my husband was helping me with the last few twists when it got harder, and the disc plate ended up bending. Keep in mind, this probably won't happen to most people as my husband is a very strong person. I was about halfway through my project and the product wasn't working as well with a curved disc. So, I decided to contact the company to see if they would send me a replacement disc so I could complete my project. They were so kind and helpful and shipped one out right away. After I saw that the USPS tracking was not updating and still said 'label created' for about a week, I contacted the company again and asked them to contact USPS which they did, but as per usual, USPS was clueless. So, they ended up shipping me another one via FedEx this time and the USPS package arrived a few days later. The other package from FedEx will probably arrive within next couple days too. But I really needed to have the project done before then. So, I'm grateful that the USPS package did show up when it did. In all, they really went above and beyond. This company is stellar and Richard was key in making this right for me. And needless to say, I will not let my husband anywhere near this product now! lol....

Well worth it!
Fabulous! Efficient, effortless easy to clean and use. I don’t write reviews but this product deserves one. I bought this to assist in our almond milk making process. My hands were hurting ( getting older) from trying to squeeze the nutmilk bag full of pulp, dry. I was hoping this would do the trick. It did!!! I use my Vitamix to make the nut milk slurry. Poured that into a nut milk bag, twisted the top of the bag shut tight and then into this press. I set it up so the bowl to catch the milk was in the sink and the press was on the counter. It worked out so well. I could crank the press with one finger till the very end and then with two hands finish. Do it patiently - the process goes pretty quickly. The nut pulp was almost bone dry. It will make excellent granola. I got more milk in less time and the clean up was easy. I’m so pleased with this purchase. I make almond milk every three days. I bought the medium size. It holds the nylon nutmilk bag perfectly. I make about 3/4’s of a gallon using 2 cups of Almonds soaked 2 days (sprouted) , 7 pitted dates and a pinch of salt to 3/4’s of a gallon of cold water. I only put enough water in the vita mix to make the slurry and then as the nutmilk bag drains I pour the rest of The water into the bag and press. Be sure to twist the top of the bag closed before pressing. This press has saved my hands and time. I’m sure I’ll use it for many other things. Happy I splurged for this.

Fruit Wine Manual Press - 0.8 Gal - great product.
I bought this press to assist me in making various food items. The press came with a base whose holes did not line up with the rest of the unit. I contacted the company and they were extremely helpful in resolving this problem. The sent me a replacement part that fit perfectly and the press works great now. I am extremely happy with this product. I have used it twice already and hope it lasts a long long time. Product support - fantastic.

An herbalists game changer, or at least mine.
This press arrived yesterday and my husband put it together, I washed and dried and this morning I pressed 2 half gallon jars and 1 quart jar of red clover tincture. I usually use a potato ricer but at 74, squeezing for 45 minutes was taking a toll. I decided to look for a helper and found this. Herbalists you see just squeeze by hand in a linen cloth, I never saw one use a ricer but they work better than just your hands. After two years I broke one, so then I bought 2 so I could do 2 sets of herbs a day. This press has become a game changer in my life and my herbs were squeezed in less time and more throughly than the ricer and my hands. I used 20X20 cheese cloth sheets and they worked great. I would recommend and buy again if I needed another or a replacement. It is well made and I set my container on a box to lift it up and had a reusable coffee filter sitting on a strainer and had the unit on the coffee table and it drained perfectly. It's heavy duty enough and stable to use by myself, and not need any kind of stand. I think I love it.

Simple Manual Press, But Need Strength
One of the tough things of this device is that you sort of need 2 people to use. I bought this for the purpose of straining out the juice from celery juice pulp. I wanted something that wasn't too big, but that would be able to put the pulp in and squeeze it out. Prior we just put back the pulp into our centrifugal juicer, but it still didn't squeeze out enough juice and was quite messy. With organic celery at $3.30/bunch and we buy in orders of 50 bunches, we want to get as much juice as possible out. A Masticating juicer could, but it would take many hours to do 50 bunches. A centrifugal juicer with high enough power can do these 50 bunches. We use 2 centrifugal juicers, with 2 people juicing. We save the wet pulp for this Manual Press. Using this Manual Press for 50 bunches of organic celery pulp allowed us about 20% more celery juice. This was an extra 1.5-1.75 wks of bottles of celery juice, which is significant. It reduces the cost of a bottle by 17%. I did also by the 1.6 gal Manual Press, but this 0.8 gal press already had a big footprint. Storing it wasn't easy and now will sit on top of our refrigerator. It is a simple device. There are probably electric versions of the press at a significantly higher cost. You do need some muscle to really press (meaning, turning the screw handle), and someone to help hold the base down. Our 22 yr old son did this who is strong and capable. I'm strong also but not like him. Anyway, this might not be good for a person who isn't physically strong.

Wow this changes everything
I already know about presses; had a custome made 1-ton hydraulic press with a Norwalk Juicer in the past. But guess what, if it's not convenient, you're going to hate using it. And that press along with the Norwalk juicer weighed a ton, and cleaning wasn't the easiest thing either. I got this manual press to go along with a recently acquired vacuum blender and a few nut milk strainer bags. WOW! WOW WOW! I can make most kinds of juice, PRESSED, NO PULP in about 15 minutes INCLUDING CLEANUP! This is the combo if you don't have a lot of time, plus you want really good juice. Just tonight I took a whole head of cabbage, 2 green apples, 1 lemon and made some fantastic juice from it. The press is SO EASY to use and also to clean up. Daughter came home later in the evening "I wish I had some lemonade .." ... ok, 3 apples, 2 lemons, ice, water, blend, press, DONE in like 10 minutes. A few days ago I made some almond milk the same way! Soak almonds, blend, press, done! The vacuum blender also cuts the time by over 1/2 ( but that's another review ). This press is GREAT. Works great, looks great, should last forever! A++ !

Chrome plating fail.
I'll start off by saying that this press is very good as an actual press. Functions 100% as it should. I would absolutely give it 5*'s ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐....BUT the chrome plating on the acme style thread is coming off. My wife uses to make organic stuff and is highly sensitive to contamination. The chrome plating is coming off of the threads. I tried using organic coconut to lube the threads and keep the chrome from flying off...but its still coming off. The particles are very small. I wind up having to filter the presses liquid again to get the chrome out. You can see chrome pieces on the top of the press where the threads are and you can see chrome bits on top of the actual press head. Bottom line i would not buy again because i dont want chrome in my stuff my wife makes! I will probabaly try and wire wheel the acme threads to gwt the chrome off....such a same.. it is perfect other than the failing chrome plating on the acme threads. Frequency of use is light i would add as well....once a weekish.......should not have plating issues on food grade products.
