Great heating cream
Bought this for easing my menstrual cramps and i'm in awe of how quickly it heats up. The heat stings a little but is effective. Definitely recommend doing a skin test first to see how you tolerate the heat.

Not constant heat levels.
Heat was not constant. Had no effect on the area applied except for random heat ranges. Disappointed. Tried to use all of the heat in hopes for good results. But I didn’t get it.

Unbearable itching!
Seems more concentrated in this formula, you can definitely feel the heat but the itching that comes along with it is absolutely unbearable.

THE VERY BEST
I actually ran across "Deep Heat" while reading Patrick Taylor's books about two Irish doctors, Drs. O'Reilly and Laverty. Great books, by the way. Saying that, I have had back issues since I was in 5th grade when I fell rolling skating and now I'm in my late, late 70's. I have fallen through the years and most recently on Mother's Day. This is the only pain cream I will use now. Nothing compares to it. I just purchase my third roll on. That's the way to go. A little more expensive, but more efficient. I like how you get instant heat. It is so soothing. I had an acupuncturist tell me to keep my joints warm. Deep Heat certainly does the trick. Love this stuff. Thanks.Amazon for offering it.

Gets VERY hot!!!
Test this on a small area of skin and wait five to ten minutes before using on a larger area. I don't know how well it reduces muscle aches, because the sensation of heat got so intense that I had to wash it off after a few minutes.

Bought this as I needed some Deep Heat following a car accident and getting a bit fed up on relying on a hot water bottle. I've also found the cream tubes for Deep Heat tend to break and leak a little, so this is perfect for anyone on the move or who doesn't like to get their hands covered in the cream. Initially I rollered this on the problem areas and didn't feel much (in comparison to the standard Deep Heat). However... about 5-10 minutes later and honestly my skin is on fire! Incredibly effective - pain has gone (likely albeit temporarily). I would say it's as hot on the skin as a fresh hot water bottle without the cover on. Definitely not for the weak, but very much worth it.
