Sounds great
Great for a beginner, I know nothing about these but it’s fun and a good starter. Sounds great and everything. I don’t get the other review, you should not leave this outside in the rain, it’s a fragile instrument and needs to be oiled and dry.

Great Handpan
I purchased this handpan with low expectations. Having played music for over 40 years, my ears are quite trained, and I anticipated being disappointed. I initially bought it to see if I would actually use it, with plans to return it and spend over $3,000 on a higher-quality instrument if needed. To my surprise, I checked the pitch with a professional piano tuner and found all the notes to be spot on. The quality is very good; in fact, I couldn't find any flaws, such as scratches. The harmonics of this handpan are impressive. While the $3,000+ handpans may have better-organized harmonics, this instrument performs well. I watched several YouTube videos comparing this handpan to those that cost thousands of dollars. With my eyes closed, the sound was surprisingly close, and the difference was not significant enough to justify spending 25 times more. There are small hammer marks on the instrument's surface, similar to those found on expensive handpans. This suggests that each piece was not just mass-produced but carefully reviewed and fine-tuned, much like the pricier options. The case that comes with it is of high quality, and I highly recommend this handpan. I’ve decided to keep it and not pursue a more expensive instrument. While I can afford it, I don't see the point in spending extra. If you purchase this handpan, you definitely won't be disappointed.

Good, not great
Initial issues (because that's why you really read reviews). The handpan arrived quickly but the box was in poor condition and clearly opened before I received it. Interior package with sticks and cleaning cloth was also torn open so I suspect it was a returned item. The finish on the bottom (and to a lesser extent the top) was very uneven and damaged due being in contact with the cheap Chinese styrofoam. I tried cleaning gently but it didn't change. Also the styrofoam disintegrated on the edge of the pan and had to be scraped away. (See photos) Otherwise, the pan seems to be in tune (which was my first concern when I saw the condition of packaging and that it appears to have been returned in the past). The sound is clean for the most part with a slight bit of chatter in the highest note (#8) because it takes a pretty good pop to get it to sound. The durability of the tuning is to be seen and I'll try to update later if I remember. Overall though, knowing the cost of a great handpan can easily exceed 4 times the cost of this instrument, I'd say it's well worth the price. Even with the relatively minor cosmetic issues I'm still pleased with it overall. I don't recall if the listing said it, but the pan did arrive with a soft, padded carrying case and a stand. Take the time to buy one available through Prime so that it's easily returnable as I understand that arriving out of tune is not entirely uncommon. Lastly, I purchased this as an initial attempt to see if the instrument was something I would enjoy. I had no misconception that I'd be performing with this pan and feel it's an excellent pricepoint knowing that a more costly upgrade would possibly come later.
C**!
Easy to play, easy on the ears, more gentle than drums, guitar or other bombastic instruments.
The 14 tone is deeper, fuller than the lighter one, it is easy to play and has play by play instructions you youtube, it's calming and the melody it gives is very soothing. It is a wonderful instrument. It should be used in therapy.

Handpan Metal Drum 22" D Minor Kurd with 10 Notes 440Hz "Professional"
Well, I did all the research and etc. And, had the proper tuner to check and know how to get the octave and 5th aside from the root Note. I've been engaged with music since like 6 yo, and there isn't an instrument I have not handled, built or repaired, so to speak. So, as far as the build and related, how packed by OEM and etc., it's well built. However, as far as the Note(s) and if care about the harmonics, which with this - you have to since not a xylophone type instrument (even then, it matters). So, for "me", I'd have no issue at all if all were consistently a few cent's sharp, etc. or more even, but not like more than 5 (since many guitars, etc., can be bright initially pending so many things as that goes - so could play choral rhythm with others etc.). However, to keep this a reasonable length - each Note was like it's own instrument, all over the place and, just to say - half were reasonably easy to activate with a finger tap of "normal" pressure/release; the other half, all choked, muted and again, as far as tuning - all over the place. I think if someone only wanted it for very simplistic rhythms, the same ones and of the Notes they liked and used a Mallet - they be okay with it. However, it's otherwise just not in tune and there's no way to get it to perform by the demo video. If they used an Active/Powered Mic? maybe. But, as for what it is - those muted notes are actually not easy to hear and one, with all the bad overtones, buzz - someone like me would use a shoulder slap to keep the beat and not ever use that Note. Then, why select one with this many? Also, as far as the metal goes - I think it's very possibly it's a bit to thick then - or prior to making them, hammering them, those areas of the metal need to be "Milled" thinner. How one can think of it is - like a heavy splash or ride or crash Cymbal on a drum kit - a heavy alloy is going to require far greater dynamics, or not for "that" Timbre of Tone. So, it was delivered perfectly and looked wonderful - however, a beginner especially should not "start" on one like that since may quit, quick or struggle versus getting activated by it, relaxing and finding the full value of it all. It can be a diverse instrument, far more than what many see it for - Orchestral use even. I hope that helps someone. But, I may not ever then be able to have one unless get "lucky", etc. since can't even look at what all said to always to "good" or great at those price points. I am very glad that some folks either are fortunate or just happy with it as it is. Again, I hope that helps!

Always loved the sound of the handpan/hang drum so when I saw this I thought why not as price seemed right. As a musician (piano) I am quite pleased with the tone. If I am to be picky the Bb seems slightly out of tune, but I mean slight. The mallets are tiny but have a nice rubber to them. The stand is flimsy but can't complain, since I didn't buy this product just for that. Kinda wish the blue finish had been available for some price, but am satisfied with the gold. Looking forward to practicing and hopefully playing for others some day. UPDATE: After three weeks I am noticing that the finish is developing some spots? Seems to be reacting to something in the environment.

The quality is bad, the surface is not smooth as if it has been used roughly and packed again to sent to me.

Ok I’ve played hand pan before and there’s a small learning curve with each one. How you strike the drum, where you hit the note to achieve the desired sound. And this one is different to another that I own, but in a good way! After a short while I’m able to achieve beautiful sounds and great resonance, and it’s fun and very meditative to play. It doesn’t have the same range and resonance as a $2000 instrument but it stall sounds great and represents incredible value for money at the price. I bought the 12 note one which is surprisingly intuitive to play despite having higher notes grouped together - it’s actually pretty easy to range between them . Instrument is also properly tuned and in key which is also an added bonus !
