Good all round piece of kit
Eventually got my head around the manual and set up instructions. Display at set up is a bit odd but the correct data does come up when saved. The device display is not in the twenty four hour format so have to check the am/pm though oddly the recorded data, when downloaded to program, is. Very quick to start with Impressive long storage capabalities, left running all night many a day. Be sure to press the save tab when viewing download data on pc, downloaded data is not saved and that caught me out three times but you soon learn. Data easy to read on pc with good info. All in tidy protective case. Well chuffed

Works on Window 11.
Had an initial problem with the CD that came with the kit, it seemed blank. I downloaded the software from the manufactures site but it wouldn't run on my Win 11 laptop giving my a C++ error, I did update the C++ software but still didn't run. Also you need to run the USB driver that came with application. I tried compatability mode for Win 7, 8, xp, vista but still no go, but on the device managers pop up window you need to select windows compatability and the drop down menu gives you Win 95 and 98 when this was selected the software ran. Then the Sound meter would't talk to the computer, I had to go into device manager again to find the USB driver, under Ports (COM and LPT) find CP2102 driver, select it's properties/advanced and change the COM port to 2 (COM 3 was being used) then it connected and seemed to work fine.

Für ein Softwareprojekt einer Langzeitschallmessung inkl. Aufzeichnung suchte ein nutzbares Gerät, welches nicht gleich vierstellige Beträge verschlingen sollte. Das PeakTech ist hierzu ideal, da es eine USB Schnittstelle mitliefert. Der Kundenservice bzw. die Softwareabteilung schickte dann entsprechende Protokollbeschreibungen. Somit ließ sich das Softwareprojekt relativ schnell entwickeln. Gerne wieder, vor allem für den Preis. Zu dem Gerät. 9V Baterrie für mobilen Bertrieb hält relativ lange durch. Genauigkeit der Messungen scheint OK zudem gibt es ein Eichprotokoll. Interne Aufzeichnung ist ebenfalls möglich, oder über die Schnittstelle kann in Echtzeit ausgelesen werden. Dies übernimmt in meinem Fall ein Raspberry PI. Somit ist es ein kleine kostengünstige Überwachungsstation geworden, die im 24 Std. Betrieb 365 Tage läuft und sekündlich ausgewertet werden kann. Ergänzung 2021/10: Nach nunmehr 3 Jahen im Dauerbetrieb funktioniert alles noch wie am ersten Tag. Die hier in anderen Rezessionen geschriebenen Probleme insbesondere mit der USB Schnittstelle kann ich in keiner Weise bestätigen. Sowohl unter Windows 7 wie auch Windows 10 wurde das Gerät erkannt. Bei dem Raspberry Pi handelt es sich um die Version 2, die allerdings nun durch den 4'er ersetzt werden soll.
