Review: So many great recipes! - If you are looking for good, reasonable-to-make plant-based/vegan recipes, this cookbook is gold! I've been following Vegan Richa on Instagram and made several of her recipes prior to purchasing the cookbook. They all turn out great. My husband has selected & made several. She has a nice mix & match approach with sauces - you can do a sauce & main dish over noodles, rice, on its own, etc. The desserts look amazing - so far we've only tried the salted caramel w/ chocolate pie, which was easy to make in a high-speed blender, and quite phenomenal. Richa also provides many options for gluten-, soy-, nut-free if you need those. A few of the ingredients are not common in my area (dried mango powder, tamarind paste), but we've just left them off and the recipes still turn out tasty. I like her recipes so much, I'll probably order some of the items so I can get the full effect of intended flavors. Generally, the recipes come together quick enough for a busy weeknight and use regular ingredients which can be found at the routine grocery store. I'm trying to get my family to eat mostly whole foods plant based & this cookbook makes it quite easy. I have teens who are somewhat skeptical but will usually try what we cook - if you are cooking for little kids/picky eaters, you may have some challenges finding recipes they would eat in this book (except desserts & breads/muffins). But for adults who like some spice and variety with great flavor, I highly recommend this cookbook! Review: Hands Down One of My Favorite Cookbooks Ever! - After finding the Vegan Richa blog and loving the recipes I found there, I knew I had to have her cookbooks as well. My family loves ethnic foods and as a family with Celiac disease as well as many food allergies, cooking at home is a necessity! SInce purchasing the book, I have tried so many recipes, all of which were absolutely delicious! The curried Vermicelli & Spinach made with brown rice noodles was a wonderful quick and easy dish for weeknight cooking. The Kung Pao Tofu & Veggie Stirfry was out of this world. I have made many asian sauces on a weekly basis; however, Richa's sauces are some of the best I have made! The Crispy Sweet & Sour Tofu is in regular weekly rotation in our household. There are several things, other than the fantastic food, that make this book a favorite among my 100+ cookbooks. First, I appreciated that the sauces for each dish can be made separately in larger batches if need be and then mixed an matched throughout the book. I also like have a half a jar of sauce leftover to use on other veggies or proteins throughout the week. Second, her dishes taste truly authentic and I don't miss going out for Indian or Japanese when I can recreate that dish at home! Finally, all of her dishes are built to be flexible. Her book is not Gluten Free,; however, I have been able to make each and every recipe I tried GF with success. I have also been able to sub out some ingredients I did not have on hand without a problem. Only good recipes allow for remodeling as they start with good food science (particularly for baking recipes). I highly recommend this book to fellow vegans who want high quality, delicious food that you are pretty damn proud of serving at the dinner table!

The best vegan cookbook I own - but you don't need to be vegan to enjoy
I stumbled into the VeganRicha blog about 6 months after I transitioned to vegan, and I'm so glad I did. I ordered all her cookbooks and haven't looked back. This is fusion food done deliciously. Try the Easiest Black Bean Burgers - my non-vegan husband could not stop eating them and still raves about them. Try any main dish from this book - most are quite forgiving and all of them are terrific. I like the format with chapters by master sauce recipe, many of the sauces are interchangeable between recipes. Proteins and grains can be swapped out at will. Your taste buds will never be bored.

An allergen-friendly dream book!
I have dozens of vegan, gluten free, Indian, and other world flavor cookbooks. This is the first one that I not only CAN cook and eat everything in it, but I WANT TO! I have multiple allergies, and the author did an amazing job marking dietary needs and providing alternatives, so I feel confident with every recipe in the book. The recipes generally only take a few steps, so its not overwhelming. I love the sauce recipes and structuring meals around them or mix and matching the recipes with different sauces. Its a big book of healthy comfort food!

One of the best cookbooks that I own and I own a few ...
Brillant. One of the best cookbooks that I own and I own a few hundred. Acquiring them through decades.... My copy has so many bookmarks that indicate recipes that I, and that everyone that I have cooked for using these recipes, loves. For example, and too many examples to list, the broccoli casserole with baharat. I made it tonight yet again. The flavor is amazing. It tastes so rich, but weight watchers gives it a 4 per serving and a serving is large. It uses chopped raw chopped broccoli (SO easy and it works) I add the chickpeas for protein. I also own her first cookbook, "Vegan Richa's Indian Kitchen" and I love it too. She does offer ranges for spices and alternatives. I do not add salt. The author has a palate that is truly extraordinary. Every dish that I have made has taken little time and all have enjoyed. For vegans, Richa's cookbooks are a must. For those who want to eat food that is tasty, healthy and easy to prepare they are a must.

Good cookbook, don’t buy a used copy!!!
When you buy a used book, be prepared to open up the book to see missing pages!!! Eeek. Luckily I was able to download the recipes that had been torn out. Great cookbook to have. Time consuming to make these recipes, but oh my, very tasty.

Sauces are the Best
I Love this cookbook - the variety of sauce recipes is just what I was looking for, and very easy to adapt the recipes to be gluten-free. Wonderful photos. Really enjoying working through all of the recipes and very adaptable to what I like to eat.

Best for special dishes
This book is so great. It covers the dishes that you would love to make on special occasions or when you feel like having something other than daily routine food. The author stresses on the most imp point that for every dish, it's sauce is the key, so she has taught us how to perfectly make every sauce before jumping to whole dish. The proportions of ingredients mentioned qre so accurate with lil tips on alternatives that I made a sauce so tasty that I was surprised with myself.

Fantastic Recipes and Fantastic Information on HOW TO MAKE GREAT TASTING FOOD!
They say the real art in cooking is in the ‘sauce’. This book demonstrates, if you read it, and then implement the ideas, that anyone can become a master sauce maker. I love this book. Beautifully printed and styled. Sitting just reading it (and salivating!) is a pleasure to behold. Great recipes too and all straighforward to use. I can’t recommend this book highly enough. If you aspire to better cooking, put this one on your shelf and you’ll give oodles of pleasure from having it. Thanks to Richa’s Ingenuity, genius, knowledge and commitment. This book deserves the highest of accolades and buying it will never be regretted. 👍

Fantastic collection of menu ideas
We have been using recipes from Richa's blog for quite awhile now but after finding out I am pregnant we really wanted to start eating healithier and have at least one vegetarian or vegan meal a day. This book is stock full of amazing soups, salads, sauces, vegan substitions, colorful photos and appetizing meals. We liked it so much we ordered her Indian one as well.
