The supplied cord is very short so you may need to use a longer charging cable depending on where you set it up. My issues with this item are that the adjustible shelf is made of rubber and tends to sag when a heavier phone (Note 8) sitting on it. Also it will only charge in the vertical position, not in the horizontal position. The phone charged my Note 8, LG V30, and my daugters LG G6 with cases on and off the phone. It let you know when it is charging with the blue light and when it is finish it turn green taking the guess out of if it charging are not . It is not as fast as the wall charger but it is convenience if you want to pick it up and answer your phone are you in a hurry and you need a quick charge while you getting dress .
