Fits Well and Not Too Large
This fits both my everyday hairdryer and my travel hairdryer, which are very different in shape and size. I would imagine it could fit most any hotel dryer and it is small enough in diameter and thickness to easily pack. I didn’t find it difficult to open fully and set the lock, and once it’s locked on, there is no movement at all while drying. If you have really full long hair, the bowl may not be large enough, but it works perfectly for my short hair and it’s small enough to leave attached to the hairdryer under the sink. I was very pleased with this purchase. Exactly what I was looking for!

Truly universal fit
Simple! Twist, insert dryer and release. Fits strong. It’s bigger than I imagined. It worked perfect and exactly what I wanted and needed. If I have to suggest a diffuser or purchase another, this one is it! The little white thingies in the pic are what opens and holds it on the drier. Blower head is 6” wide with 1” spikes.

Clamps on well, but shallow cup may not be suitable for long or thick hair.
** Update:** I took this on a trip and discovered that the lock button actually does work. If you twist the base to open the clamps, and really twist hard to get it open as far as it will go, it will lock into place. It takes a little more effort than you'd expect. But once it's locked, you can fit the hair dryer into it, then push the button and the clamps will release. It makes it less fiddly for getting the diffuser onto the hair dryer, but it doesn't make it any easier to get it off - I still wish I had a third hand for that. Also, I was able to test it with several types of hair dryers, and it fit all of them, including the small wall-attached ones that are common in hotels. I still find it too shallow to use as my regular diffuser, but it's really great for travel. Upgrading the rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. -- Original Review -- I was looking for a new diffuser attachment because the one that came with my hair dryer just has "fingers" with no cup, but I'd prefer one that has a cup I can pile my curls into. I have an old universal attachment (ConairPro), which just pushes onto the end of a hair dryer. It's just the right style for what I want, but it won't stay on my current hair dryer (it pops off as soon as it heats up), and it's too bulky to pack for travel. I bought this one hoping that it would not only be good for travel, but also for use at home instead of the ones I have. The good: The clamping mechanism for attaching the diffuser to a hair dryer seems to work well, and it stayed securely on my old Conair nano silver hair dryer, which usually doesn't take attachments well, except for the ones it came with. The low height of the diffuser will make it a lot easier to pack for traveling than my old universal diffuser, and will fit a bigger variety of hair dryers. The white clamps are not hard plastic - they're a rubbery silicone material, so they shouldn't damage the barrel of the hair dryer. The cup diameter is very generous (6"). The not so good: The quick release button doesn't appear to do anything at all, as mentioned by other reviewers. [Yes it does, see update above. You have to firmly open the clamps up all the way for the lock to engage.] To put the attachment on a dryer, you twist the base of the attachment counter-clockwise, which opens up the clamps. Releasing the base causes the clamps to spring back tightly onto the hair dryer. (Apparently the "lock/release" button is supposed to hold the clamps in place, but it doesn't.) Twisting the clamps open isn't difficult to do if you're using two hands, but it's tricky to try to insert or remove the hair dryer while you're holding the clamps open. If you happen to have a third hand, it's no problem, but most of us only have two, right? So once I have the clamps open, I have to spread the fingers of my left hand out to hold both the base and the cup in place so it doesn't slide closed, while positioning the hair dryer with my left hand. Someone with poor grip strength would probably have trouble with that. I tried holding the dryer between my knees with the barrel pointing up, and then lowering the diffuser onto it while holding the clamps open - which worked, but it's tricky since you can't see what you're doing. So it might take a bit of experimenting to find out what works for you. If the company fixed the problem with the lock button, that would take care of the issue. To remove the hair dryer, you just twist the base again to open up the clamps. Also, the shallowness of the cup might be an issue, depending on how you like to use a diffuser. If you typically pile your hair into the cup and hold it up to your head, you'll probably find that the cup is too shallow for that, especially if you have long hair. My hair is just above shoulder length and very fine, and I still feel that the cup is too shallow for how I dry my hair. I either need a deeper cup (like the ConairPro) or longer fingers (like the attachment that came with my dryer). Overall: It seems well made, stays well on my hair dryer, and looks like it will work for a lot of different hair dryers. I probably won't use it at home because I want a deeper cup, but I think it will be great for travel. If I could get the same thing with a deeper cup, it would be perfect. For people who don't need the depth, this might be a good choice. Specs: The BestTrendy is about 2.5" tall and 6" wide, but the cup is only 7/8" deep at the deepest part. The fingers in the center are about 7/8" tall, and the ones on the outside are about an inch tall. For comparison (see my photos): The ConairPro universal attachment (black) is 4.5" tall, 5.25" wide, and 1 3/8" deep at the deepest part of the cup. The white diffuser for my Conair nano silver hair dryer doesn't have a cup, but the fingers are about 1.5" tall which helps hold the hair in place without a cup.

BestTrendy Universal hair diffuser - Fits a Conair 1875 travel collapsable dryer
Finally, a diffuser for my little Conair 1875 Travel dryer with the collapsable handle. This dryer is great for travel, but does not have it's own diffuser. I crossed my fingers, and tried this one. Not going to lie, it is tricky to find the right position to keep the opening 'open' - and stick the dryer in, at the same time. I ended up putting the diffuser on my lap, holding it open with left hand, and held the dryer in right hand, while leaning forward (using a bit of body weight) to help me push it into the hole. Success! Once the dryer is in, give it another push. And press the button to 'lock' it in. Done. A diffuser is such a little thing, but keeps hair from blowing around, and becoming frizzy. Diffuser arrived super fast (thank you for that), and was in a sealed plastic and in the original box.

First Diffuser; Works Great
The installation was super easy and the size is great. It's got a large bowl to put a lot of hair in. My hair is more than halfway down my back. I've never had a diffuser before so idk if the drying power is low or of that's how they work; they are diffusing the air in several different directions. The only thing I can find wrong is it takes a little longer to dry my hair, but come to think of it, I never fully dried my hair. I only used a regular dryer for 3-5 mins and let the rest air dry. It works wonderful with curly hair and I am very happy with my purchase

Hoping next use is better
I just received this diffuser 2 days ago and just tried it after washing my hair. Once I figured out how to attach it to my dryer I was so excited that it fit. I started using it and when I moved to the left side of my head, it flew off the dryer and fell apart. It is too hot to try to put it back together now, but I really hope it will go back together and stay. I will update my review after I hopefully put it back together and try to use it again. I will be very disappointed if it doesn’t snap back together since it was shipped to me out of the U.S. so it doubled in price and I have no where to buy one here. Update: Unfortunately, it won’t stay on my dryer and once if falls off, it is too hot to put back right away. Shame, my dryer looks like one of the dryers in the photo, and also, what is inexpensive became expensive since it was shipped to me in the Caribbean, so the price doubles by the time we receive items.

It Works, Is Lightweight & Low Profile
I like this diffuser better than the one that came with my Hair Dryer ( a Remington). I like how it is clips on to the dryer and it is very securely attached, but easy to take off. I like that it can be used with varying size dryers . It is smaller in total "height" than most diffusers so it is not a big thing to pack for travel. And it is not very heavy. It spreads the heat out very well. been using it for a couple weeks and so far no complaints. Time will tell how long lasting it is.

Perfect Diffuser for my BabyBliss Pro TT.
I did a lot of research to try and find a diffuser that would work with my BabyBliss Pro TT travel blow dryer. I needed something compact that did not take a lot of room in my bag. I ordered the Best Trendy Universal Diffuser. It’s slim for a non collapsible diffuser and the adjustable attachment portion fits my travel blow dryer perfectly. The outside diameter of my blow dryer is approximately 1.6”. The diffuser stays on my dryer perfectly. The diffuser has a lot of holes for good airflow. I have long naturally curly hair and it helps maintain my curl very good. I am very happy with my purchase. Also if your in the market for a nice little travel blow dryer, I highly recommend the BabyBliss Pro TT. This little dryer dries my hair just as good as my full size dryer and is more quiet. I highly recommend both of these items.
