I used this product to harden a rotted window frame - of course it requires scraping out as much rot as possible, but within a few hours, this had completely solidified previously fairly spongy wood. I was able to then wood filler over this easily, and it has so far lasted very well. It was a little messy to apply, and even messier to clean up - definitely wear gloves (as one should with any epoxy type product).
