Escali AHG2 Stainless Steel Extra Large Direct Grill Surface Thermometer, Searing Temperature Zones 100-600F Degree Range

I have a small Weber gas grille that lacks a thermometer. This solved the problem. Sits on the grilling grid and provides reasonably accurate temperature readings. I've had it for about 3 years and it still works fine. I do wish it had an adjustment for calibration. Because it sits under the hood while grilling, it does get splattered with grease and can look a bit tacky, but it is still readable. Great value!

The pic is after 1 60 min smoke can read it and not very accurate Not sure if it's a defect or bad seal but this company worked at a great pace to replace my item. The 2nd one works great thank you again for the easy to work with company will buy here in the future

I'd give this five stars, but there were no instructions for using it on a griddle top. It works fine, but the glass gets cloudy if it leave it on the heat. That's what I mean, are you supposed to just leave this on the griddle or do you remove it once the grill reaches the desired temp. Over all it's a nice thermometer, so I have no complains.

Great surface thermometer. Place in fry pan, turn burner gas to medium high heat; takes approximately ten minutes for fry pan to get to around 400 deg F; then add olive oil and steak or fish. Searing or browning is then just right. No more guessing looking at water drops in the fry pan. Could have used my digital instant read thermometer but you have to constantly turn it on and probe the pan which is too much work.

I thought having a thermometer that sat on the surface of my griddle would be the way to go. I did not realize that griddle cooking is all about heat zones which means moving the thermometer from section to section to get a reading of the surface temperature. That's not the problem. The problem is that this thermometer takes ages to get a reading when you move it to a new section. Griddle cooking moves at light speed and by the time you get a reading and adjust the gas it's too late. I switched to one of the handheld instant readers. Nothing wrong with this product just not good for what I needed it for.

Inaccurate. At least 50º off. I guess I'll stick with my digital meat thermometer stuck in a pyramid of aluminum foil. Way quicker reading and more accurate. More cost effective too.

Me gusto mucho la calidad y los materiales. En general es muy buen articulo, pero los números en centígrados son muy pequeños y no tan marcados. Se pueden ver, pero no con facilidad.

Con este termómetro puedo usarlo en mi sartén de acero inoxidable y cocinar siempre a la temperatura que quiera sin sobrecalentar la sarten. Me ha encantado lo facil que es usarlo y si tener que tocarlo.

Es un excelente termómetro de superficie y con números grandes de facil lectura. Su caratula es muy amplia y el color de los números es muy bueno y facil de ver.
