✅ PROBABLY THE BEST OUT OF ALL THAT IVE USED!
I use this as potting substrate for my alocasia and philodendron, as well as for moss poles. This has to be the best that I have tried— and I have tried A LOT of different brands from a ton of different sellers. ✔ This particular brand is very CLEAN with minimal broken bits, debris, and dust. I always thoroughly soak and rinse my moss before using it and this is the only time that the water ran completely clear and stayed clear. ✔ There are definitive, fluffy, and separate strands of moss that are very dense and lush, and visibly clean. ✔ This easily separates with less pieces that are tangled. You can actually pick out the separate strands of moss and every piece is consistently fluffy, dense, thick, and equally long as the last piece. ✔ You a good amount in a single package. Because the moss is dried and compressed you have to allow the block to soak and absorb water and it literally quadruples in size and amount. Even though there's a lot in one package, I use quite a bit for my (over !00) plant collection. so I usually purchase these blocks in groups of 3-5. ✔ These retain water and moisture exceptionally well. Once it dries out it doesnt shrink but rather keeps its form, allowing plenty of aeration and holding plenty of water to keep the plant roots moist and healthy. ❌ This moss doesn't contain any sustenance for plants thought— remembernto fertilizer Because this moss is considered inert and contains no minerals, vitamins, or nutrients to further support the plant like regular potting soil would, I recommend that you use some kind of amendment in addition to this moss, or just remember to regularly fertilize your plants. This has worked way better st keeping syngonium, alocasia, and philodendron, healthy, free from root rot, free from fungus gnats, and free from over or under watering. While this doesn't work on all plants, this works exceptionally well for all aroids. Out of all the many brands and sellers that I have tried, this has been the most outstanding as the best quality in regards to cleanliness, ease of use, functionality, and also, overall aesthetics — it's a beautiful reddish, strawberry blonde color to a rich tan shade that is consistent throughout. I just really wish that this moss was available in much larger packs.

The BEST moss
I wish I could tell you that this was too expensive or that you could get better moss if you would just spend a little more on a bigger package somewhere, but I can’t. This is HANDS DOWN the best quality sphagnum moss I have found anywhere! It also expands to be quite a bit more than you might expect. I occasionally go on the hunt for a more economical brand because I use a lot of moss poles for my indoor plants, but I’m disappointed every time. I always come back to this gorgeous, clean, fluffy stuff. You can’t beat it! Beautiful for animal terrariums, moisture retention in bog style plantings, moss pole fill, and terrestrial orchid mixes. The last two pictures are a comparison with some other well reviewed moss (3rd pic) and this stuff (4th pic). It’s hard to accurately explain how much better it is, but hopefully you can see the immediate difference in the brightness and freshness with a total lack of degradation in the last pic. And that moss pole has been in service for 6+ months! The others brand is actually filling a pole I made at least 3 months later, but the moss looked raggedy and slightly dirty from the beginning. I’m sure it will need to be replaced sooner too which means it isn’t actually cheaper in the long run.

Great quality and a slightly unique form.
This sphagnum moss is excellent quality and has a different form than I expected (in a really good way). I liked it so much that I purchased two more so I wouldn’t go out of stock. It works especially well with my new plant corms. This moss has become a staple in my plant growing routine. I’ll definitely buy more when needed and recommend this product. 🌱

Small package quality product
Nice product overall. Nice long and lush strands on the fibers. However, I wish this was a larger amount. That is the only really issue I have with this.

Best deal on Amazon
The best spagnum on amazon. Disclaimer: This review was written by a human, not AI. It reflects my honest opinion and does not include embellishments. I got the 15 oz size, and recieved three bricks at just about 5oz each. They are as thin as all get out, to the point that you worry if you have enough, but super easy to store. When 4 cups of water are added to a 5 oz brick, you get about 1 1/2 gallons of damp spagnum. It expands quickly (especially if you submerge it) and is easy to mix. I spent a few minutes picking the non-spagnum material out, and found about .07oz of fine roots and leaves in there. Thats about 1.5% of the weight before adding water, not to bad in my opinion. Other spagnum brands ive tried have had branches, bark, or even small pieces of trash. I do not normally pick these out anyways. The fibers average about 2-3", but there are a good amount of shorter fibers (half an inch or less) so be aware. One 5oz brick makes several small (24"x4") d-shaped moss poles. I use "EOX 8 Pcs 24 Inch Plastic Moss Pole" and run a wick through the entire pole so i can just water a reservoir and dont need to constantly mist. My plants do great on them. I also love that I can just break a piece off, stick it in a tupperware with some water, then stuff my moss pole. No fuss, very little mess, and i dont have a bunch of spagnum sitting around taking up space. It is also the best value on amazon! Can't beat a good deal. There are probably premium brands out there with only long fibers, but they will never beat this value. To recap: Pros: fantastic value for money Easy to store Easy to expand Very few non-spagnum pieces Cons: Many shorter pieces (less than half an inch)

Really good moss
Nice moss that holds the water. Clean and it grew in volume nicely.

My favorite moss
This is my favorite brand of sphagnum moss. Each piece is so fluffy and there is no debris. The smell is clean and it’s just an amazing moss to work with. I always get asked what brand I use when I share propagations I gift that are still in moss. The packaging is deceiving because it looks like you get practically nothing, but it fluffs up a lot once you add water and you realize you are getting quite a bit of moss that will last you a good amount of time. It retains even moisture for a long time while also staying fluffy and not overly compact for good airflow for roots. It’s worth every penny!
